Well, as normal as things get around Bell acres!

Every year i start off like this, i don't make resolutions as such, i just sort of have things in my head that i'd like to do, everything from trips, near & far to Maddy-ness and 'fitness' aims. Some of them do actually happen, but of course, for one reason or another, most never do despite firm resolve! And of course some is just pure dreaming, what i'd do with a windfall, that sort of thing.

As i look back at last year, i did actually manage to fit in some of the stuff on the 'wish list', the German Christmas Market trip for example, it really strained the resources but i think it was worth it. Other stuff relating to who i am has come to pass, my double tongue piercing, extra and larger ear piercings, the total number of poked holes is currently 18, there are plans for 2026 for more but will they happen? Dunno. I don't always have them all in use but today there is something in every hole as i'm rocking something of a Goth look at the moment. I guess it might seem a bit odd at my age, i guess i'm catching up after decades of hiding.

When i last posted, it was the eve of my trip up to Yorkshire to see family and friends, i got back last night, sad to leave as always but sort of refreshed. The only thing that didn't go as planned was seeing my grandson, he had some sort of flu bug so he stayed with his dad whilst i visited with Number 1 Daughter. And whilst some parts of GOC got a significant coat of snow, Sheffield & Leeds got no more than the lightest dusting, maybe the -4c daytime temperatures kept it away.

I didn't do any epic walks, i didn't have a bike to ride and Lil Bro was happy to stay local so i've nothing to tell you about. Now i'm back i will be out on the bike, i will be cracking on with the writing and i'll also be putting a bunch of stuff on Vinted / Ebay in the next couple of weeks.

So that's it for today, i will be back on Sunday with a new Gaby chapter and possibly some news regarding the new book, but for now
