I'm rather cross with myself as I seem to have forgotten the name of the author and the title of the story. I remember it was a kindle book I either bought or borrowed on Kindle Unlimited, so if you can remind me I'd be very happy.
The story concerns a teen boy whose mother is hostile to his desire to transition. He leaves home and catches a train after changing and meets a rich old lady who helps him. I believe he was heading for his uncle's place, who is a ranger somewhere in a northern state of the US and is married to ski instructor. They help to fight his mother's hostility. He makes a girl friend who keeps horses.
I've read so many of these things that I'm sure I mix some of them up, but I can blame my increasing dotage and two delinquent cats, however, I'd be grateful for some help in locating this story. I thought it may be by Karin Bishop but I've checked all hers and it isn't.
Thanks,
Angharad
