More about epilators

Blog About:

Author:

It is now about five weeks since I have had a razor or shaver near my face. I use the epilator when there is anything to harvest, it usually takes me about five or so minutes. I will remind you that I had electrolysis on my facial hair many years ago (but not my throat or top lip). A little has grown back but is much finer, as is much of the regrowth from the epilator and which I hope will continue to get finer through the epilation.

Epilators

One of the commonest problems for transwomen is the occurrence of facial hair. It is believed that electolysis is the only permanent means of removal, laser is a temporary method and it doesn't work with light coloured hair. I had 4 years of electrolysis which cleared much of my facial hair, ecept the upper lip and throat area. Over the last couple of years I have been plucking but it's slow and sometimes hurts a bit and on a good day only 10 or 20 hairs were removed.

Not posting anything today

I did a reptile survey yesterday, and the combination of rough ground with gorse and heather, which are real trip hazards plus the awful weather, wind and rain, meant I have been tired all day today and only part-written something. I'll get it finished as soon as I can. But apologies to both my readers.

3 Stories today - don't expect it every week.

I discovered half a story on my hard disk of Principal Boy, I don't know why I didn't finish it. I have done so this week, I also include an episode of the Recoverer and Bike. I was just in a mood to write this week, next week I may not, so enjoy it while it lasts. Having problems with my fridge-freezer which alternately freezing stuff in the fridge and then defrosting it. So far I have lost at least £10 worth of food, meat as well as green stuff. I have bought another one but it doesn't come until Wednesday.

I thought I had posted this ages ago but realised I'd only half written it. I have finished it and offer it for your entertainment - oh, no you don't, oh yes I do. Probably worth re-reading Principal Boy first, it will make more sense.

The dinner I cooked that evening was spag bol, it's easy and apart from being messy to eat, everybody loves it. I'd got some Parmesan cheese, already grated, so all you had to do was sprinkle it over the bolognaise sauce. I don't bother trying to twiddle the pasta around my fork I just cut it up small and eat it normally with a knife and fork - works for me.

I've done an episode of Bike.

I haven't had time to do the Recoverer this week, last week's efforts took quite a bit out of me. It's been a nice day and as rain is possible tomorrow I stripped and washed my bedding and put it back on the bed. It gets harder and harder, the stroke really reduced my strength and stamina. I have, however, started sorting out my wifi, so my phone is on it and also a newer computer using windows 11. It's very different and is taking up my valuable time.

Work came in at a constant and steady stream. I was asked to look at a supposed arson or a suspicious fire that the assessor was wary of passing as a claim. The fire brigade, with their specialist investigators were unsure of too, normally they yeah or nay it within minutes unless there has been a fatality in which case they analyze it to the nth degree, helped by police forensic scientists. But for just minor building work and furniture and carpets, they just gave us a shrug.

I have been reading Bike.

I read until the last one I posted, with a view to perhaps writing some more. The reason I haven't is that things have changed so much in the UK with the ruling of the corrupt Supreme Court against trans people, this was obviously a politicised decision, with money coming from that stupid but very rich woman author and pressure from TERFS. I now have no belief in the UK Justice system, parliamentary system or UK based multinationals.

The supermarket was the easy bit of the day, I bought a boot full of food including some easily made meals but not quite ready-made, may as well have takeaways as those, though they are slightly cheaper if you heat them yourself.

“Look if my request is beyond you let me speak with someone who is capable of such things.”

Now your pride begins to damage your cause and your lack of patience is exasperating to us.”

“Time is running out for my daughter, if she is damaged by your dithering I will not forget or forgive it.”

Ha ha, your foolishness is shown once again. Here there is no time. Your arrogance is pitiful but disrespectful.

“Sorry but I’m fast coming to the opinion that you are full of shit, now show yourself or get me the head honcho.”

Prepare to die, fool.

“I hear she’s jumped the queue for reassignment surgery?”

“Yes, it’s been done and I’m trying to help her come to terms with it. It must be a bit of a shock when you haven’t planned it.”

“Ah, with Trish you never know just how much was planned.”

“What? D’you honestly think she’d measure how close she’d need to come towards Stella, for her to prune her doo-dah yet not kill her?”

“Um–Mummmmy–Auntie Stella’s behind you and she has a knife in her hand,” Trish spoke very quietly. “Please don’t hurt my mummy, Auntie Stella.”

“Shut up you little bitch, unless you wanna be next.”

I stared into the window and saw her reflection, she was about six feet away. I turned quickly and edged away from the sink where I’d been preparing vegetables. “Put the knife down, please, Stella, you’re frightening the children.”

It will be an anniversary of my transition, 39 years ago - told you I was old. I'll be dragging myself up to the hospital for a diabetic eye test so won't be celebrating, not that the cats are very much partygoing types, they don't even drink milk prefering water from the toilet pan although I give them clean every morning. Since that day, I don't know how many posts I've made here, more than anyone else by quite a margin. I've been reading some of the back issues of Bike that Sephie posted and continued on.

I had been asked to do a talk to a woman's club about my job. I hadn't agreed because I wasn't sure that I had enough anecdotes to keep them entertained. When I'd asked the organiser why she wanted me, she said," Well, we like to see women running their own businesses successfully and I'm told you are successful."

"I'm doing okay, I suppose, but much of my work is boring research or long hours of watching people we suspect. It's like watching paint dry."
