And something he said resonated with me as a perfect comment in the current political climate - specifically regarding the Orange Baboon in the White House.
“Nearly all men can withstand adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character, give him power.”
Trump has failed this test spectacularly, to the detriment of our whole world. His failures should have been obvious to any who took the time to dig into both his personal and professional backgrounds, but unfortunately many never looked beyond the big mouthed bigot who spouted the things they wanted to hear on national television. Now, the proof is in the pudding. Now it becomes obvious to even the most dimwitted just how unqualified he is for the position he sits in. Now even the idiots who voted for him begin to see his lies for just what they are - bovine excrement of the highest order.
The question being how much damage will the Republican toadies like Mike Johnson allow him to do before reigning in his reign of lunacy?

While I agree...
While I agree with you almost totally, putting even the worst politician in my lifetime on blast is a bit problematical in this venue. So, I moved this blog post off the front page, in deference to people who come here to avaid hearing so much about the aforementioned baboon.
It is to be hoped that (but doubted) that party leadership will take action.
