Lets catch up then. Thursday was much like the preceding days, bright sunny and quite breezy. Rather than another long ride i decided that something shorter would be appropriate so i ended up doing Bristol - Bath loop, meeting up with Aunty Bev for a bacon sarnie before the ride back up to base. Only 60km but it felt just about right for the day.

Being a little behind on the writing, Friday was dedicated to that end. Yes i fitted a short walk in but the main target was completing another chapter and posting it to Patreon.

I had a moment of inspiration during Friday's writefest so Saturday saw me embark on a slightly longer ride out into Wiltshire, Avebury to be exact. The idea was to explore some of the Byways and bridleways that crisscross these north Wiltshire hills, routes that have often existed for millenia. And so it was, i reached the Ring by midday with just over 60km covered then after a short break grockle watching i set off to return to the West.

More of those byways, some deeply abraded by 4x4's, others showing signs of being down graded from adopted tarmac quite recently but all devoid of other traffic on this day. It never reached great heat but it was quite pleasant, the wind less than recent rides and i stopped the clock with 128km and 1200+m of climbing completed spread over 6 hours in the saddle. A good 20km of that was new to me riding, almost all being of the 'not tarmac' variety!

And so to today. I made an early start on the keyboard and managed to complete the next Gaby chapter in @ 5 hours, so that's 42 chapters complete and available for fully signed up Patreons. I've also posted the next part of May Queen here on BC for your delectation and delight, Part one got some good reaction, hopefully Part two will continue in that vein.
