So I saw the swallowing clinic today, and it was good news.
The first thing was they think they figured out what happened. When I last had Covid, the muscles in my throat got loose at the same time as the nerves lost their connection.
Then they took some x-rays, and the system has improved greatly
Not all the way back, but much better than the last time they had checked.
They recommended that I continue to take small sips and bites, and to periodically clear my throat in case anything had gotten stuck.
Overall, I feel encouraged.

good news!
At least, it sounds like good news. If certain parts of your throat had gotten tighter during COVID, you might have ended up with a lovely feminine soprano. But we’re never that kind of lucky, are we?

Glad to hear that
It’s really a mess when your mouth and throat don’t want to work right!
My wife had a somewhat similar problem after her stroke and we had to be very careful when feeding her.
