...you think you have things cracked something else comes and puts the boot in!
So this week started out well, a trip down to see an infamous author down at the south coast, a great day and we even started the day with some precipitation. We went for our usual roast lamb dinner and i even had a post prandial walk - very civilised and a good way to keep my bad leg from causing issues later in the day.
Yesterday was my day out to meet my bro who is working in north Somerset this week. It was a great day, we took in the Helicopter Museum on the former airport site and took a walk across Sand Bay in the afternoon. The museum was stuffed with airframes from the oldest survivor (built in 1929) to the current helicopter speed record holder, film stars to gunships, rescue to oilfield transport and all points in between. I won't say my bucket list is reducing but i have done at least 6 on the 'list' this year and the year is still quite young.
The day was nothing special but its good to catch up a bit in person.
Throughout i've been contending with this chest infection, it has improved but when i woke to rain this morning, any resolve i had to go riding resolved not to! The result, the guilt hanging over me from not riding but an opportunity to make inroads into sorting out the backlog of photographs - i like to be able to actually find those holiday snaps, i haven't gone as far as a spreadsheet up to now but layered storage requires setting up and maintenance, something i've been a bit remiss with over the last several years. So yes, i've made a start, most of this years images are sorted into appropriate folders and the downloaded files for the rest are in a better location. It's not a difficult job, just a bit tedious but if i do a couple of hours each week i'll soon be caught up!
I have been for a walk this afternoon, the rain stopped, the Sun came out, i've picked tomato's, peppers and soft fruit and i feel a little less guilty at not riding. I won't be riding tomorrow either - the forecast is for more wet so my next two wheel adventure will be Friday.
