If you saw my previous blog post you know I've been on an unplanned medical leave because of my vision problems. Recovery is going extremely well. I'm almost back to 100% again. In fact, there's really only one reason I haven't started posting again quite yet. I have an appointment this month for an experimental treatment (hopefully!)
I didn't want to start posting regularly again, only to have to disrupt my posting schedule, so I'm waiting until after the treatment concludes. As I understand it, it's going to take about 5 to 7 days and during that time, I won't be able to see anything because it literally involves placing an opaque medical device over my damaged cornea.
But if it works it may go some way to restoring the damage from my neurotrophic keratitis disease.
In the meantime, I will continue writing. I'm up to chapter 11 on Yet Another Music Story, but this is afun one. I've gone through like, 10 revisions before I finally got the character voicing where I want it to be. It's another coming of age YA story, but I don't want to give away the plot this early in writing :D
Luckily writing requires little actual screen time. The most I have to do is use spell checking after I'm finished, and knock out all the typo gremlins before I move on to working on, workshopping, and writing the next chapter.
I'm still planning to revisit the Robinverse too. I want to divide it into canon (The original 3 books, Becoming Danielle which was written by the lovely and talented Becky!) and non canon, but I can get into my plans for the future of the Becoming Robin series when I have them more whlly organized, not in an off-the-cuff blog about my vision haha.
Love you all, and I hope everyone's doing well. Thanks so much for you rpatience during this difficult time for me. It means the world to me that people still find joy in my first three novels!
