Silly moment from work yesterday. Coworker whispers she's lost her voice. I tell her to look behind the couch. She laughs as loud as her strained voice lets her, and tells another co-worker the joke.
It's nice to know I can occasionally make somebody's day better, even if it's with a silly joke.

Had a moment like that
I was about 6yrs old and had a raging ear infection. The Dr. lanced the ear drum to allow drainage. He said I would lose my hearing in that ear for 3 days or so. I thought he said earring, so I was looking on the ground for an earring for about three days. I never found it. Luckily my hearing did come back though. True story.
My trouble is...
Some well timed levity can always make the workday go better.
My trouble is I'm tempted to use that joke when someone says
"We lost Uncle Herb..."
for the axe had convinced them that because his handle
was made of wood he was one of them.
