They could be sailors, or they could just be a few animals running amok. I thought the newscast would be nice to include to give it a more real world feel. That anchor is the one who does do the news for NBC Bay Area in San Francisco.

P.S. Still no clue WHY or WHO was behind the curse on Zane/Zantara and his/her birth mom. And was this curse before or after dad founded this magic organization?

The Ship

The cargo ship's nationality is not stated. It could be Greek, I just don't know.

The curse came after John Zatara helped to found the Sentinels of Magic. As to who, what, and why, that's for another chapter.

Just out of curiosity, where does this fall time-wise in relation to a certain Chicago-based mother and child taking a trip to Greece to do an archaeological study... followed by a rather eventful return trip and subsequent events?

Temporally Located

Chapters 1-5 to an unknown chapter, all take place in November 2010. This is two months before the Sandsmark's landfall in the Aegean, but one month after the Green Arrow shows up in San Francisco.

Technically she's not even in San Francisco yet, at least not in October. By this time though she is. As far as Cassie is concerned, most if not all of her story takes place in January 2011. In fact most the stuff in her story actually takes place around the same time that Target Practice starts :)

Charting the action

It would be nice if all the cannon stories could be placed on an updating story chart that places their start and end. Sometimes, most times, it can be confusing to know what/or who came first.
