Adam and the Three Wishes - Part 5/6
I am guessing that from what was revealed:
"I was. I was twenty-three at the time, and I cried and cried for those poor women and girls. But Ezzie and I knew if we tipped our hand they would take us out. There had been witch hunts in the past and there would be more. There were also others who just took pleasure in hunting us down. When His Wisdom arrived a couple of hundred years ago, things got better. For a while he rescued many of us. Then he lost focus for a while, but things have gotten better for us and him lately.
then
"Why don't you let His Wisdom take care of things? You know he can," Sally said, holding her daughter's hand.
"For obvious reasons; I've read too many accounts about young men entering this place and departing as bimbos. I'd rather be an unattractive, androgynous woman than be some vacuous bimbo with huge tits, er breasts who has trouble following a grocery list."
"I don't do that anymore, at least not very often," The Wizard replied with a bit of a hurt tone. "Cindy, Bobbie, Charli, and Randi certainly aren't Bimbos. I used to do what you are talking about until someone made me realize that being a woman is one of the greatest gifts there is, and I was sullying womanhood. I've learned quite a bit about life over the last few hundred years. Besides, most of those stories just aren't true."
Means that:
Those stories where The SRU Wizard Bettencort where young men were made into bimbos are from when His Majesty did not respect women and traveled through time to cause his mischief or are fiction, possibly done by a charleton to ruin his reputation as April Dawn is a bad witch who could have been part of a conspiracy to control magic and humanity

Too Much Information Adam's mind boggled at all of the information made available to him. So beings like me he is a very thoughtful person, there is the need for the data buffer to empty and the processing all the realizations that were presented. This may make everyone else crazy around her but this is where she will draw her strength to make good decisions when her abilities becomes available. She chose Yes with a few conditions.
With those with open eyes the world reads like a book
I hope she goes for it
Seems like a good deal to me. (Minus having to sleep with Jim, that wouldnt do anything for me ....)
What wasn't played...
...that old 'read between the lines' feel of Elgar's Enigma Variations (I'm listening to it as I type) which he pointed to what 'wasn't played' as being a key to the piece. What isn't being revealed to Adam might be just as if not more important than what is? The idea of self-discovery is often like that; not what we know, but what we have yet to learn may be the greatest reason for the choices we make. The unknown coupled with an innate trust to fate; faith if you will. I'm almost more interested in why Adam makes his choices at this point than which choices he makes. I hope I'm getting that right? I suppose each of us chooses which lines between which to read. Excellent story, Portia. Thank you!

I'm Wondering
Was Bev a surprise?
Portia
Was Bev a surprise?
I'm usually pretty obtuse but it's been obvious from practically the beginning that it was Bev that brought him to the attention of the witches. In that sense, she was not a surprise.
Thank you so much for writing all of these stories. I've been in a reading marathon for a good week now to read everything you have published here. These stories are awesome. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.
