CHAPTER 7 — ARCHIVE GHOST

We ended up planning a combined graduation and wedding. I managed to find a wedding dress for three hundred dollars and spent another eighty getting it tailored down to fit me. One thing I didn’t tailor was the bust. It was designed for C or D cup boobs, and it was cheaper to buy C-cup breast forms to fill them than fix that part of the dress. And why not? It would help me look more womanly, and it was something I should have done years ago.

First Year at Mary and Magnus' Tower - A Middle School Novel.

(Excerpts from a non-fiction novel written from the perspective of a Talosian headmistress in which she provides short portraits of some of her more famous students. Written pseudonymously and providing an insight into the upbringing of Zeinab of Thamud.)

CHAPTER 1: THE TEMPLATE

Eric Chen sat cross-legged on Lin’s battered green velvet couch.

Jay arrived at the fire station bright and early to start his first tour of duty since completing his training. He had always wanted to follow in his father’s footsteps as a firefighter for as long as he could remember., putting it aside as he went to university to get his degree in English and History. Unfortunately his Dad had recently passed away, but he knew that his father would have been proud to see him following in his footsteps. Howevever everything did not go to plan.
This is a two-part story

Chapter 9: Justice

Linus took a deep, ragged breath, his voluminous chest rising and falling, and pulled through the gate. He followed the drive to the spacious brick-paved area beside the entrance to the enormous house. Conrad’s gleaming new Porsche was there along with a massive pickup truck also sporting the decorative orange license tag with the big white paw in the middle. Seeing the truck, a flash of horror ran through his mind, seemingly from nowhere. Anna’s heart pounded in his chest, and Linus felt light-headed as he put the car in park, hands shaking.

Chapter 4: The Claws

Linus ran a red light on the way home from Scarlett’s hotel. He was so distracted. The Fortis Beach Police that pulled him over recognized Linus from his days in the municipal court before he joined the firm. They talked about all the speeders and drunk drivers Linus had convicted as a junior prosecutor and those he’d gotten acquitted in his brief time as a defense attorney. The officer told Linus he’d let him go with a warning as long as nothing came back when he ran his license through their computer.

Dear Readers, This is an apology and an explanation. I started Wildcat Fall earlier this year and realized it wasn't the story I wanted to tell. Here is a newly written chapter that integrates with the core of the original Wildcat Fall. This is the continuing saga. I would appreciate any feedback. Constructive criticism is important to me as I am rewriting this story. Thanks.
