Sanjit Singh
has made a tactical error, the comment
It proves that this Social Worker does not have the childs best interests at heart, and may have a personal axe to grind, may even be a friend of the seven!!
Yes, he has
Seanna will be sure to pass on the information regarding his comments to the lawyer, Jackie, when they meet at the company offices.
It helps, also that the idiot was so sure of himself that he spoke clearly and loudly enough to be heard by Seanna's Momma. With her corroboration of his comments, it may well cause him some problems in the courtroom. This will come up when they talk with Jackie.
As for whether Mr. Singh is a friend of the seven, my muse hasn't told me, so I don't know. It's possible, but I really can't say.
To put it bluntly, Singh is a bigot, pure and simple, he just doesn't know who he's fighting. And he has also forgotten the ancient saying, Never, NEVER, come between a momma bear and her cubs! Too true, although we'll have to wait and see what happens in the court.
As for how Singh found out about Seanna, I know how it happened, but it won't come out in the story until they're in court.
really like the story the
really like the story the only thing that seems a little off is that Leilani isn't more freaked out about continuing to stay in the apartment where her mother was attacked. especially since she witnessed it, I would've thought she wouldn't want to stay there with that memory associated with it.
I understand what you're
I understand what you're saying, you will be happy to know that staying there is only a temporary measure.
Leilani's stability in that environment is largely due to Seanna's presence; Leilani knows deep down that Seanna will fight for her like a mama bear does for her cubs, and that Seanna will do everything she can to be there for Leilani. She may be only four, but she's very smart.
Before the story concludes, Leilani and Seanna will be living in a nice house, I just haven't gotten that far yet. LOL
The truly sad thing......
Is that here really are people like Singh. What it makes it worse is that somehow these ignorant, bigoted, self-righteous, sanctimonious assholes manage to worm themselves into positions where they can enforce their twisted beliefs on others.
Perhaps someday we'll no longer have to worry about people like him - but somehow I feel that I will not see it in my lifetime.
What truly bothers me about people like Singh is that I gave a large chunk of my lifetime, lost my innocence, and lost some very good friends, some unbelievably good young men, defending his right to say what he wants. That wasn't the America that I fought for; I guess my fight isn't over yet.

The saying is "hell hath no
The saying is "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned". In this instance, I would say Seanna is way beyond the scorned part and Sanjit Singh just bit off way more than he can chew. Hope he chokes on it. What an huge "AH" he is.
Singh is definitely an a-hole
And he will get his comeuppance soon, might even be in the next part I write, which would be part 7.
Reintroduced
I was thinking I hadn't read this, but it is coming back to me. I believe Kipling's line fits here really well, that the female is the deadlier of the species.
I started your newest story today and saw the reference to Seanna, so I went looking for it. Glad I did, this is worth reading again. I made reference in a previous comment to the family in the car accident down in the city, I'm amazed at how similiar this story is to that reality. Of course there is no rich family to help out, but their neighbors have started a collection to help take care if the little girl, as I recall the grandparents are stepping in for the child, but their income isn't up to taking on a new longterm responsibility. I just hope there will be insurance money and a pound of flesh from the drunk that will help longterm.
This is the second story in the last 24 hours with a young child that has just melted my heart. The other one is efindumb's Finding Daisy. These children are killing me, I want to do something, anything to help out.

Re: Reintroduced
Thank you for rereading this and commenting here.
This story, Upside Down and Rescue are all in the Home universe, I guess you could call it, although I haven't actually formalized it.
There will soon be another story in this universe that will focus on Melissa and her job in the day care center. I haven't decided what to call it yet, and I'm waiting for my muse to reveal the opening part of it, so I don't know when it will actually get going.
Once again, thank you, the greatest praise an author can get is when someone says a story is worth rereading.
