Great Chapter
I loved the chapter, but it ended too soon and left me wanting more--before next Friday.
You Know....
.... to quote the famous American, Bugs Bunny, "This means War!"! Nably has pushed his luck one to many times and when the church groups get there, The Queen and her loyal troops plus their Allies will be returning their actions with an ever increasing barrage of their own to vanquish them. It was nice to see Zeke and Tessa do a solid for his friend that did Tessa a solid and possibly saved her life. Loved how she used her Cajun Princess Nicole to extract information about who paid off Clay (we know clay can be dense) and Company to damage her park as well. Kudos on another interesting chapter!

Joe Nably Screwed The Pooch
At least Nably is consistently cheap. He wants to buy the park for pennies on the dollar and instead of hiring professionals to try to vandalize the park, he hires a pack of bigoted thugs on the cheap. Thugs who were more than happy to escalate vandalism to attempted murder and are openly bigoted. So not only are they facing a laundry list of charges for what they were attempting to do, they face hate crime enhancements and conspiracy charges for everything as well and have been scared into confessions which clearly implicate Nambly and for which they weren't even smart enough to cut deals.
Which brings us to Joe Nambly. He can be charged with virtually every crime each of the thugs face as well as whatever charges are added on for planning and funding the crimes and hiring the actual "talent" to do his dirty work. Once Nambly is in jail, his former secretary will have no fear of coming forward with what she knows and that will add to his problems. Even a prosecutor who is a hack will have no problem convicting him and convincing a judge to impose consecutive- not concurrent- sentences on him for his attempts to harm Queen Tessa and VentureRealm.
Someone like Nambly won't fare well in prison. he is a bigot and an a**hole. He tried to harm someone who is positively impacting lives. A lot of Queen Tessa's charitable efforts are directed to people who are on the margins of society and there is no doubt her efforts help families of incarcerated criminals as well as people who have records. I suspect other prisoners will treat him in the same manner that child abusers and pedophiles are treated.
If Joe Nambly ever had religious instruction, he might have read Galatians 6:7 "Whatever a man soweth, that shall he also reap." And, after all, the name Tessa means reaper or harvester...
Sadly...
A lot of them don't. I've never heard of one being killed per se but I've seen them knocked over, punched, kicked, you name it at rallies. Very few of them show much decency once they get amped up.
If you don't stand for something you'll fall for anything.
Nambly''s charges
Mr. Nambly''s charge will consist of CONSPIRACY charges for EVERYTHING HE''s had done, as he didn't do any of the dirty work himself. Conspiracy to commit 2nd degree murder carries 15-25 years. Where 2nd degree murder is usually 25-life. HOWEVER RICO can apply as he had government officials involved.

While he is using Hate groups and bigots, doesn't mean he is a bigot, we already know he will do anything to make a buck so this is just the next stop in his twisted mind.
I'm left wondering if he yet knows if his pet politician has been arrested if not, he may not know he has bigger problems.
Attempted murder?
Old Mac's testimony will likely dismiss any charges of attempted murder. Instead it would be something along the lines of "negligence with regard to human life." Old Mac's testimony would include them changing up from Vandalism to going after Queen Tessa instead of what they had been hired for, which would be Nably's out. Clay's group would provide the information about Joe saying if people get hurt when the rides are sabotaged, all the better. and that would be where the negligence for human life charges could be filed against Mr. Nably. In addition, there would likely be "endangerment" charges levied as well.
Old Mac
I don't see that Old Mac would be called to testify (assuming the doctors deemed him fit enough) as all he could say was that he heard someone say 'Tessa' and 'fire'. On the other hand, the silly boys were caught in the act by the Sheriff, and while our mistress of mystery hasn't said, with Tessa's attention to security I'm sure that someone will have been wearing a body cam with low light capability and an infra-red light to illuminate the room. Smile for the jury boys.

And my eyes are tearing from the laughter. This is an awesome chapter.

Now THAT is a way to get someone to talk. Nothing like a little alligator, real or otherwise to loosen and open up the lips and mouth of a person who is refusing to tell you what you want to know.

I hate to say it, but I am not sure that this is going to get better without getting worse first. When Nably does go down, though, it ought to be spectacular. Wish I didn't have to wait a week for more, but I get the reasoning.

If Nably doesn't fear the God then he better because. Hell,Fire and Brimstone will rain down on him. If the Church hate group shows they to will get as Rosco P. Co-Train said cuff-em and stuff-em. They to will face Hate Crime Charges.

Although this chapter seemed somehow shorter, the ending made it all worth it. Amazing! Without going back to look at previous chapter lengths, I can only assume that it wasn't actually shorter, I just didn't realize how enthralled I was.
He's done it now!
Oh Joe, youse just hung your jewels from the chandelier and don't know it. That man really stepped across the line this time, wanting the rides sabotaged so riders would get hurt. Kids included.
His arse is grass, he's now up a creek without a paddle, his hole card wasn't high enough to take the pot. When Tessa is finished with him he won't even have a pot to piss in. When the law gets finished with him he'll be wearing different clothing.
Mac sure saved the day, he deserves a medal. It possible he'll have something better if he can get through detox. Tessa won't just hand him an envelope again.
Clay is part of the moron group. He broke into a place he never checked out. The minute he and his fellow morons climbed the fence the alarms were singing. And he really screwed up by not attending the park first, or he'd have known the gator wasn't real. But the deception worked better than they could have hoped.
The next gator may not be fake and it just might get to taste it's first human mountain oysters.

Todays VRP was short, but with what happened I think it was a good place to leave the plot for next time as there seems to be cause and effect involving the oscillating rotary air flow controller.

It's pretty clear by now that Nably's toast, but there are still other matters to keep us in suspense. For instance, let's hope Mac ends up in a programme that has a better success rate than the AA-based ones.
