Replaced by even grimer ones People can be who they really are. I hope they are allowed to get hormone blockers. I'm wondering when the USA will get into the war I don't think it will be long. The USA has always has a large navy with radio Germany won't be able to covertly sink American ships The US gov. has always had a warlike streak.
Yes! I want to see more!
I'm Surprised
That Germany invaded Ireland; they were neutral. Germany did respect the neutrality of Switzerland and Sweden. If Ireland were not fighting, it seems like a waste of vitally need troops to occupy them.
The US and it's navy might be bogged down fighting Japan. In an alternate reality more of our carriers could have been sunk at Pearl Harbor (instead of being out on maneuvers). Our early naval victory at Midway seemed to involve quite a bit of luck; we could have lost more ships there, too. All our forces could be involved fighting for the Hawaiian Islands.
Even so, conquering most of Western Europe and the USSR seems like it would be very difficult for Germany. I'm sure the war in the Soviet Union would go on for many years. British troops could be forced to fight in Russia!
Japan also wouldn't have had the forces to suppress all of China and fight off a British Empire invasion of Indochina from India. The US would still go on to produce more and better ships and planes. I doubt Germany and/or Japan would succeed invading the continental US.
The Germans never seemed to have made much progress toward an atomic bomb. Even if it took longer, the US would probably develop it then destroy the Axis Powers in Europe and Asia.
Hugs and Bright Blessings,
Renee
Um, no.
Pearl Harbor was a disaster for Japan, to the extent that the emperor committed suicide; the US have not entered the war (and, I assume, won't do so). Britain surrendered after a couple of atomic bombs. Russia has surrendered as well, so the war itself is pretty much over. On the other hand, an assassination attempt against Hitler has succeeded, and Goebbels died too. Himmler's currently in power.
To me it looks like the Third Reich will collapse from the inside. There's no way a Himmler-led government will be able to keep the public opinion on their side, he's a homicidal occultist bureaucrat hated and despised by just about everyone. The German troops are spread very thin, occupying basically everything from Belfast to Stalingrad, and after an initial boost for winning the war, their morale is going to go down pretty fast.
Neutrality
It seems that memories are short.
Sweden was neutral. But so was Norway and they were occupied.
Holland was neutral..... and occupied.
The Wermacht took over whatever they wanted. And ignored others.
Had the rest of Europe joined in at the beginning, the war could have been a lot shorter.
Neville Chamberlain cost Poland 3 million souls.
good to see this again
Ah! the two special girls can continue for now to wear those wonderful, button up the back dresses of the time. There is a series on UK television at the moment about the results of German bomb attacks on UK cities. Lots of genuine footage of the time showing children playing in the streets, I had forgotton how the girls used to tuck their dresses into their knicker legs when doing handstands etc. They reminded me very much of our gang of "girls" who turned up at Aunties.
Germany Cannot Continue
Forever on a war footing. Their troops will be stretched very thin in Occupation duties from Ireland to Russia and basically armies are not trained to be guards. America did not want to enter the war but will probably be forced to for economic reasons. Canada will certainly want to continue fighting while Australia and New Zealand will have their hands full with the Japanese.
It will be very interesting to see how this alternate history works out.
In the meantime the girls are a source of potential harassment to their Nazi overlords. The regions of Britain will be far more difficult to police than the major cities. I am sure that Albert will end up hanging from a lamp-post in due course.
Anxious
I'm anxious for more of the story.

Has this story been beached?
,
Susan,
I only recently chanced to read the nine existing chapters of this story. It is excellent from a TG perspective, and I find it overall a quite gripping story. Hope you'll get the inspiration to continue it some day.
Thank you for the pleasure I receive from your excellent craft.
Muse
Let’s hope for a muse boost for Christmas!
Looking forward to the next few chapters if you get your boost!
Stay safe
