Yay! More Tammy.
Although I have been puzzled by these last two chapters. Until now I thought she was doing her best to stay in the intelligence business. But in these past two chapters she seems rather scatter brained and unfocused. And this is NOT how I remember her being in the past.
And why does the range officer think she is a civilian if she is a lieutenant?
And why in the world would they want to know her range qualifications without giving her a chance to practice first?
A lot of odd little things. But knowing Shiraz, a lot of this will be self explanatory in the end.
Thanks for the chapter.
"She was up against the clock"
I'm starting to wonder if its worth it to go through all this
With the attitude that is being aimed at her......
It appears that the point to all this is to find reasons for throwing Tammy out on her ass.
Yes, she has made plenty of errors in judgement, not to mention failing to do her due diligence, but then again she has never truly received appropriate training from anyone either. The true failure is on the part of her superiors. By failing to properly train or prepare her, they have set her up to fail.
One of the primary responsibilities of any manager is to provide the proper training, tools, and guidance to their subordinates. No one has done this for Tammy.

Yes
Poorly trained, poorly managed, conspired against, used as bait, put in danger, shot at, red tape and paperwork for days, and generally jerked around. Doesn't seem like a job to jump at.

The masochist is strong in this one ...
LOL
Good one.
My Head Is Spinning
They came at her without warning. How was she supposed to know about all that they went off on her about?
It appears as if she has been given a marvelous opportunity if she is willing to scramble. They are using her own life as a teaching aid. Wow, if she wants that, I hope that she measures up.
Nice episode.

LOts of fun!
Can Tammy get out? Or is Tammy damned forever to be in The Services?
The Lieutenant bit made me hum this cover:

BTW - I hope that it is a Navy Lieutenant - or at the very least an Army one. Not a cough-gargle-spit RAF one ...
I loved how the female charm offensive bounced off the Arms Master :)
As to the loo with guard in front - I know a few ladies who'd feel uncomfortable with such an arrangement.
In Japan loos come with a "modesty" button you can press to make noise to suppress the sounds YOU making.
the first test
Tammy needs to update her log sign in with her rank and order a box or 2 of ammo for practice.
With rank goes privilege.

That's ''No, Sir! Lieutenant, Sir! Now give me another twenty rounds please.'' Or maybe Madam.
A non-Sir but a Ma'am
Tammy is precocious but a bit on the young side to be a madam :)
Nevertheless, at the range the the Arms-Master is Boss.
Again, I do not like these people,
Having them watch my back is like having a psycopath as a friend, a very apt metaphore to my mind. They have no loyalty, and would throw you under the buss if it was convenient.
What are they all playing at?
Tammy was brought in when she used bits of information to spot something everyone missed. Suzie was at the other end of the line for Tammy, but when she works for Tammy won't do the work?
Tammy defends herself by shooting the person before they kill her, and she gets rug burns. They gave her assignments she completes then blow her off because she brought something to light about another agent.
They put her in cold storage, telling her not to do a damn thing or risk prison then in the same breath, order her here and there, like they currently have done.
What gives? Does she or doesn't she work for the agency? Are they or are they not wanting to run her out of the agency? She gets the third degree in this chapter because of her attitude, but that attitude is born from her past treatment. So what can they expect?
Everyone keeps talking about security this and security that, but always talk in circles when Tammy starts to ask questions. Maybe they do it to force Tammy to think, but then why give Tammy drug burns when she slips up in their eyes?
Others have feelings too.
Rank
Range officers on duty are normally seargents orpetty officer (equiv in navy)All visitors are ma'am or sir.
The fact she's an officer in civvies would be ma'am and she should know the range officer is a seargent, he's wearing a uniform.
Range 'officer'is usually an
Range 'officer'is usually an nco, so it wouldn't be 'sir', and as she's a lieutenant now, the range officer would be i/c but deferential and call her ma'am.
