Following a comment on my story by Emma, I really liked how she had expressed the dichotomy of dysphoria and have incorporated it into my story as the penultimate paragraph. I know that many of you read and react to the comments, but others, sometimes including myself, pick and choose what to read. However i think that her comment is so insightful that I should encourage more to see and appreciate it.

Being able to be part of a discussion about a story -- mine or another author's -- is one of the best parts of this community. Skipping the comments is like scraping the whipped cream off your dessert!

" Skipping the comments is like scraping the whipped cream off your dessert!" Only a few times in a life time will someone come up with a true witticism so soft, yet so remarkably pointed. It stops all other thought processes while the only thing going on in the mind is replaying what was said. Eventually the reality becomes clear it wasn't a meaningless blathering. It is one of those most precious comments we will pack away waiting for the right time to pull it out. All in the hope using it will prove we are as intelligent and witty as the original person who said it.
