I have always been a fan of Mr. Franklin……
But at this time I feel that a few words from Patrick Henry are more apropos:
“The battle, sir, is not to the strong alone; it is to the vigilant, the active, the brave.”
And to those Republican bootlickers in Congress who would fall at the feet of Trump, cravenly falling in line just to keep their positions, “I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience. I know of no way of judging of the future but by the past. And judging by the past, I wish to know what there has been in the conduct of Trump and his cronies for the last ten years to justify those hopes with which gentlemen have been pleased to solace themselves and the House.”
Please forgive me for the substitution of one tyrant for another within Mr. Henry’s speech.
