Unscientific
My random, unscientific look at comments on a few of your stories suggests the opposite of a poor reception: in fact, I generally saw requests for more. Granted, there are fewer reads and comments across the board nowadays – BigCloset is a much quieter neighbourhood than it used to be – but I very seldom see anybody’s work getting a truly poor reception, as long as it’s not AI.
In the ‘How 2 Rite Gud’ thread, I saw Vonnegut’s advice, “Write to please just one person.” Perhaps that’s sound advice, for the Great Eyeball Famine of 2026.
