A High School Life
Where really am I?
From Candice’s Diary, just a trans girl who loves nature.
Part 1
I opened my eyes as the morning sun arose. Outside was glowing gold, the gold of the gold we had repeatedly beheld. I got out of my bed and got into the shower. The shower was as refreshing as ever. I slowly combed my long hair and did makeup and thus wore the typical High Schooler outfit to school.
The surroundings as I walked out of my house was refreshing in the fall, so orange and gold, and breezy. The birds were chirping happily and the chipmunks squealed with the joy of the morning blessings. I couldn’t handle myself but let the joy pass through me.
The so-called joy was interrupted by a honking of two cars. Oh the birds! They flew away! And the Chipmunks they fled! The silence of the fall and its breezy wind.
As I walked further. The serenity of the fall had come back. The birds were chirping merrily! Chipmunks were running in blissfully playful manners.
“Woof!” Oh the bad dog! You made them flee again. A very very bad dog. I ambled past the dog with my cheerful mien. It was just a dog who just destroyed the serenity.
And there came the rowdy sound of teenagers in the school bus. Oh the sound was so loud it shattered my pastoral dreams of strolling in the fall roads.
Silence had settled. The birds and the chipmunks had returned with more merry! Oh I could see them chirping and chasing with joy they wouldn’t know it had been shattered repeatedly. Why must they care?
The wind had become slower and the sound of the birds and chipmunks suddenly became somewhat louder and more of a headache than I could’ve imagined. Oh so eerie. Oh so peaceful. I watched them playing with just a playful smirk.
Oh here came the breezy winds, so comfortable, so pristine, so beauteous. The playing of those animals became merry again and I thought what a wonderful trip it was.
Part 2
Oh the breezy winds had become a stormy wind. I quickly pulled out my umbrella. I walked through the wind but still saw the birds and the chipmunks playing knowing naught. The wind was so playful, so playful that it taunted.
Yet again, the surroundings still maintained its serenity among the stormy wind. The sound of the playing animals had now turned into a playing of trees and leaves. How beautiful it was among the stormy wind.
I took shelter as it started to rain. The rain was pouring down on the earth, giving the richness of nature. The wind just kept flying and playfully playing with trees and leaves.
Bam! First strike of thunder. The wind just kept playing. Bam! The second strike of thunder. The wind just kept playing. Bam! The third strike of the thunder. The wind just kept playing.
And now the rain had slowed down and the wind was finally stable again with the stability of a snake that could bite you when you missed the signals.
The storm had moved away and left just the sound of roaring thunder far away. Pip! … Pip! … Pip!
I continued walking to school.
Part 3
I ambled peacefully along the road. The sunlight shattered through the clouds, illuminating the scene again. Oh the birds and chipmunks! They had returned with their gradually growing happiness.
The wind was so slow and breezy I couldn’t take the trance of my head as I kept walking into the road of nothingness.
Oh the madness of humanity, can’t you stop arguing in the morning! I saw two people arguing about their life and how hard it was to live. Oh poor person. He had never lived in joy.
And thus the wind kept me flying through the emotions of the pristineness of nature. Oh how heavenly it was to see the animals playing without a care of the world.
I kept strolling along the road watching nature and humans contradicting themselves. Oh how comical it was.
There was the school! Oh! Everyone was chatting with laughter and happiness. Just, I couldn’t help myself but slowly and slowly and slowly walking from the peaceful road into the happiness awaiting in the school.
Part 4
For my first glance, I was so relished in the happiness of the school! Nothing from the road could take my happiness down. No arguing, no rain, nothing. People were talking; people were nudging; people were kidding; people were laughing with joy that could bring them to the paradise of the teenage world. I just looked at them.
Oh, I saw a boy detached himself from his friends group to the bathroom. The bullies were watching, waiting, watching, waiting. The boy got shoved into the restroom.
I saw a teacher dismissing a problematic girl who needed help without any care from the so-called teacher ethics. Life was so simple in this hallway; it was costless and in this hallway. Everyone was baking the perfect and crushable life.
There was everything! Everything you could gather here in this school: friendships, knowledge, food, even conflict! Oh the teachers had allowed us to experience them all! The experience was waiting for us all. You saw your favorite books; you ran to the library. You smelled your favorite food; you ran to the cafeteria! Everything was at your reach! I ran to my locker to retrieve my favorite math books with eagerness of learning. The principal was looking at us with a smile.
The bell rings. Everything faded down. I could see the student walking to the classroom. Oh the teachers were laughing at them! No more music to my ears was the silence fading away into the classroom can be compared to the loudness of the world. Everyone was the musicians of their own surroundings. The loud chanting sound of high school life in my head was so dreamy and entrancing, was so dreamy and entrancing, that everyone had awoken to joy.
I looked at the empty hallway, the fading sound, the fading happiness, the fading turmoil. An illusion, I thought. I should go home and just rest, just to be myself.
