What I like about this story is that it is not only a transgender story but also a good adventure story. Not all stories on BigCloset are like this, but those that are make me keep coming back.

Gibson's Neuromancer was from around 1984 (they weren't about each other). I'm surprised we don't have more in that or similar universes, cuz it's so kwel! Thank you for my doses; helps a lot.
If lead characters are mostly cyber-androids, only in their meatbags part time, the punch and pain of TG/TSism can fade a bit. It's like one meatbag can be switched for another; consciousness held in fixed or carry-around cybernetics. OTOH, in such a loose and slippery environment we may see lots of new twists on TG fiction.

Renee - the actual mind-body transference that occurred to our protagonist, as will be revealed shortly, is something of an impossibility. Johnny could escape the flesh for a time when he went Netrunning but eventually the demands of the meat body always pulled him back. There are Runners dedicated (crazy) enough to put their body in a life support creche and abandon the flesh as much as possible but that's eventually a death sentence. Either the body fails or they cross the wrong person and end up with an assassin kicking in their door and shredding their body. I definitely want to avoid easy body-to-body transfers in this as it does tend to trivialise the TS aspect.
More will be revealed...oh yes, it will...
Cyberpunk
I'm a long-time Cyberpunk junkie and it was rereading the Erinyes stories that really put me in huge cyberpunk mood. That and watching Elysium which is, at its heart, a cyberpunk film and one of the best to come out in a long time.

So, Heather,.... 8-) I just read all your stories on BCTS. I read NNC II before I read NNC III to ketch up. When I got back to NNC I, I read straight thru'. Great as the first time!
That was wonderful writing, TYVMuch. Besides being even more impressed, now I wana know what's coming next in the story. I figure Mary and Ice Queen II will be figuring this out (or Mary telling IQ) right at the start of the next chapter.
I know hurrying an author is apt to be between useless and counterproductive....., but it would be nice if Next Chapter comes before I forget all the details.
