The characters who were so flat when she wrote them now have nuance, and motives. The kingdom she wrote into existence is experiencing internal strife she never even thought about. And let's not even get into the complexities of the magic system, or the demon that forced her into this situation to begin with...

Oh, and then there's the fact that she's about to be arrested and executed... but surely she can come up with a way to write herself out of that, right?

Chapter 2

On Saturday morning, I drove Belinda to her home, about two hours north, where we picked up her guitar, and had lunch with her parents. They were happy that she had found someone to share her first week. We were able to tell them that we would be sharing the next two weeks, as we were helping two other guides, in separate coaches, but following the same general route from London to Rome, where we would be flown back for a week off before our next trip.

"High Heels and Hot Tips" is a sequel to my Kindle novel "The Big Switch: The Dame Curse." In it, the tg detective, D.C. Callahan, in the body of his secretary Sheila Coffin, has to bodyguard for a stripper who the mob is hunting as a witness. Sheila goes undercover as a cocktail waitress in a posh strip club called "The Velvet Room." The danger is everywhere, but at least the girls are worth looking at.

We sent people to explore the empty ships right away. And we found... more documentation. In the parts of the world needing cleanup over the facilities, all the large bodies capable of helping with the cleanup were deployed that way. But here, I was free to participate in another document translation effort.

The three story town house in the outskirts of Birmingham looked occupied. The curtains were up and at the press of a button they closed as the day ended. The house was tidy and a pair of cleaners arrived once a week to keep everyone in order, but Graham was in the house on his own, and apart from a bit of dust there was little for them to do. Maisie and Jane tried to engage Graham in conversation but they often gave up after a series of monosyllabic replies.

Soon it got dark outside, and the group kept going. One thing I noticed was that nobody got hungry or thirsty, and as it got quite late, not tired either. Apparently, freed from our human bodies, we did not have those issues anymore.
