Is fearr Gaeilge briste, ná Béarla clíste.
Broken Irish is better than clever English.
Hmmm...
Claire did better than Drew said - at least most way through, considering how long she was able to keep up with Drew/Jamie... And, made up a bunch of time before blowing... Sounds like she could learn to do better, with practice and strength/endurance building. But, what do I know.
Interesting happenings. I think I'd have found the Role Play interesting. *sighs* To bad we didn't get to listen in. LOL
Thanks.

If this wasn't hard
Then it wouldn't be testing. I fear that today's creeping attitude of "there are no winners or losers" in young sports is diluting the competitive spirit. The latter won't die. It's natural to race. Potential champions may be lost though, then I believe we all lose.
Go Drew! Go team GB!

Drew is at a higher racing level
It doesn't sound like a few of the team have what's needed for a stiff competitive race. Drew, though, has what's needed along with James. Together they'd make a hard pair to beat.
When Drew and James left the others behind in order to overtake Paul's group, it's a wonder they both didn't receive 'the talk' for leaving others behind. On the other hand, why should they? By trying to overtake Paul's group, the two showed how those in Drew's and the other group faired. Several need a lot more training and attitude change.
Others have feelings too.
