Loved it!
Great fun! I really enjoyed this.
~And so it goes...
YAY :D
I really enjoyeds this! My idea helpies yay :D
Thanks everyone
who gave an idea.
I tried to use at least one from most of them, but some were just a little too hard. If/when I make it a novel I'll throw in pretty much everything that doesn't involve other works.
Glad you guys liked it.
Great
I love the way you've combined totally different things. Hope you muse has been rejuvenated after that work out :)

Honestly the weirder the ideas the easier they are to put together.
You give me five normal ideas and they'll conflict with each other, getting in the way and generally making a mess with too many plots. But when things are messy already you can fit almost anything in there and have a good reason for it.
If this were expanded into a
If this were expanded into a novel, I would actually pay money to get it. A fun story with a lot of characters with none of them overpowering the story nor feeling like they were just set pieces. And a sweet ending for
Matthew and Marilyn.
Delightfully demented,
just the thing I neded to cheer me up on an otherwise boring day. Thanks for the giggles.

As a T-woman, I do have a Y chromosome... it's just in cursive, pink script.
Thanks!
I really appreciate hearing that you both like it. I really am thinking of taking November to turn it into a novel, after I get some other stuff done. I also have an idea of how another story the challenge I made could fit into this universe without having to make any changes at all.
Cheers

Pretty cute story, and I do love how you simply dumped everything in a large pot, stirred it all together and came up with an interesting story.
Will you being doing anymore like this, they are fun.
Not anytime soon
I got two good story ideas out of this, but quite frankly I've got dozens of story ideas I don't need more.
It was good for jump starting the muse on a really bad day so I may do it again but it's going to be quite a while before I do it again, I hope.
Atmosphere
Your unreality kept my attention very well this evening - yes I like this kind of story, read Neverwhere at some time, and James Stoddard's The High House. It's not having a live-in celebrity that makes Matthew that wonderful; he seems a decent sort at heart.

"Reach for the sun."
Thanks
I like the odd and weird so this was right up my alley. And I wanted Matthew to be a nice guy, flawed, but overall a decent person.
