Toughest Ever
This was one of the toughest parts of the story I had attempted. Mostly because of my perfectionist ways. I wanted to show the turmoil going through Charlotte as the truth about Alexa goes public. I hope I was able to pull it off.

Traditional Thinking
Good explanation of Charlotte's traditional world view portraying her as more frustrated with her husband than out of love with him as she moved at an ever increasing pace towards siding with her youngest child. Thanks for sharing.
No two the same
People are all different. You have done a very good job of presenting one reaction.
But what I see is the turmoil that comes from finding decisions, that you have let someone else (a church or a husband) make for you, feel fundamentally wrong. She is finding the strength to make her own decisions, and letting her love trump dogma.

Loved this particular chapter, as you have shown the struggles between family regarding one of their "own" who is not like the others.
Looking forward to more insight between Alexa and her mother, brothers and other family members.
