Animal alarm
The jokers who might come toward the mansion might not be aware how the animals in the area will sound an alarm as the jokers approach.
Where once they would have been vocalizing or moving about sedately, any newcomers in the area will cause the birds to go quiet and others to run off.
Of course if the wolves are there it will be open season on bad guys.
Others have feelings too.
