Well Maxkm, I have a twisted mind.

Well, you should see some of the ideas for stories I don't write. This story never gets much kudos. Surgeon's lodger gets around 100 for each chapter. I noticed a short one I did that started off with a sex scene, got a lot more views, 832 so far but only 50 kudos.
I don't worry too much about it, but wonder what the formula is for a good story on here. The Surgeon's lodger has gone down well on a sex story site I posted it on which surprised me, as there isn't much sex in it.
Both that and this story are very near to ending now. I'm wondering what to do next.

You are doing very well with this
Im sorry to hear you aren't getting very many kudos. It's kind of rude to read a story that is so well written and not leave a kudo. When Beverly first started writing this story I was angry at the way men were treated but found myself addicted to the story. You have done a wonderful job picking up where Beverly left off and continuing from there. Your hero Peter is a philosopher and a dreamer seems like he may be perfectly suited for politics. Charlie is a thinker and a doer the world will be so much richer with both of them in it. I will have my heart broken all over again when this thread of the yarn ends.... will anyone feel worthy of picking up where you leave off when its over? Perhaps the next new thread of this yarn will be woven by another of Big Closets master wordsmiths.

Thank you EllieJo, I took the character traits of Charlie from Beverly. Charlie is a typical engineer, a problem solver. I am a little like that myself. I love improvising a temporary fix.
My house is full if them. My header tank in the loft has had a plastic bottle held on with cable ties .in place of the ball cock. It's been there 10 years!
I was disappointed when she stopped the story, but she has so many others to write. I was already writing this and waiting to see where she took the main story before I added to it as I used to reference her story.
When she ended it I asked permission to write this. As the last one mentions several of her characters I'm putting All Characters © Beverly Taff, now.
I'm not worried about the kudos. I'm just curious to what makes a popular story. I'd like to put stuff up for sale at some point. I learning what makes a readable story. Surgeon gets less reads but as a % more kudos. I think it is read by a different demographic.
