and with her the snow

Well not for everyone, down here in Brizzleland we've so far avoided falls of the white stuff, unlike GOC, but its been close to zero c all day despite a clear blue sky. The bad news for me is that my 'bad' leg, the one of broken patella and DVT fame, is giving me a bit of jip at the moment. It's not stopping me doing stuff atm but it's been quite uncomfortable at times, swelling and muscle spasms can be a bit disconcerting although todays 100d thermal hose seems to have helped somewhat - yep i pretty much have to wear hose to control the symptoms!

So what's been doing this week? Well, on Monday i had a visit to the Swedenland store for a late brekkie before heading back to get some writing done. That didn't go so quickly, @ a thousand words before i gave up and prepared Cottage pie take two.

Tuesday was supposed to be close to double digits and dry so i set out for a bit of laneing along the Wiltshire border north east of Bath. Up, down, looping around, i added 4km of new routes to the portfolio before a stop for lunch at Bath, then a bike path return to base. 68km, @700m of up - not a bad day even if i had to upgrade my handschuh to defcon 3 for much of the ride although i was still in shorts!

Today, well up and at the chores, laundry, shopping them after a quick warming lunch of lentil soup it was straight into completing the started chapter. Another 1300 words and it was done and posted to Patreon! I'll be back on the job on Friday, i seem to end up with an absolute plate of linguini as more strands get added to the story, more characters and old ones making cameos. Trying to keep a grip on what has and is going on is a bit of a mare but i think i'm just about keeping things straight.

As for the rest of the week, weather permitting i'll get in a couple of half decent rides besides the writing, i'm expecting to make a normal post on Sunday at an earlier time.
