Hello all.
I just posted several chapters to my novel, Ethan's World not realizing that it's considered bad form to post more than two per day. Apologies for that. I got kinda carried away--it's fifty chapters, completed, and I was kinda sorta eager. I've enjoyed so many great stories here and wanted to contribute. I didn't mean to abuse y'all's generosity.
Again, my apologies and thank you for maintaining a great place to read and post our particular kinds of stories.

Posts, Not Chapters...
I'm not an admin, just someone who has been here for quite some time.
But the problem isn't with posting multiple chapters; some people post entire novels.
The problem is posting the chapters individually, so that they take up so much of the front page, freezing other authors out. Standard procedure here used to be to only leave the most recent posting on the front page; to read the others you'd have to go to the Free Stories page or look up the author.
If you do want to post five or ten chapters at a time, just combine them into one post: Ethan's World: Chapters 1-5.

Understood. Great idea... I'll definitely consider it. I'm also getting feedback from admin staff--so much to think about and I'm getting dumber as I get older. lol
Another problem
Another problem is chapter numbering, if you use words to number chapters it makes it difficult since alphabetically, three precedes two and five comes before four. And since you didn't do the outlining yourself, that means it's my job. Ten chapters at once? And they still won't be in the right order unless I edit the titles.
I'm not trying to make you feel bad, you've already apologized. But it may take me some time to get this straightened out.

You can't make me feel bad. Well, maybe if you really try hard enough. lol I can take a scolding, quite easily in fact. Especially when I mess up. :/
I will try to do better. This thing has 50 chapters, some as short as (I think) 9 pages, some as long as 30. Should I combine short consecutive chapters or just keep truckin' but in smaller groups, say 2 a day, 2 a week, whatever makes the community happy?
I want to maintain continuity, so my preference is a single chapter a day. But I will defer to your advice.
I see that someone (you?) has edited the chapter names already (made them numeric rather than text). I will follow suit, as in Chapter 11, Chapter, 12, etc. though within the body of the story it'll say Chapter Eleven, Chapter Twelve, etc.

Up to you
It's up to you how much you want to put in one post, but I would combine shorter chapters to balance the posts. So if you think you want to post 8000 words or 15 pages or whatever in a day, but three consecutive chapters are only that long together, post those together. One chapter is 10,000 words or 20 pages, post it alone.
