I've been lurking here for a long time but writing fiction is not my thing. Recently, in the comments of a story, CindySadnya mentioned that she found me very good with words and hoped to check what I've written here, and this got me thinking. While I'm still convinced that my mind is not built for writing stories I might nevertheless produce something that people here would consider worth reading. So, let's try this mood piece about days long past.

Morning came too quickly.

Samuel opened his eyes slowly, disoriented by the unfamiliar ceiling, the beige curtains moving faintly in the air conditioning, and the lingering smell of hairspray mixed with perfume.

Natalie's house.

The gala.

Tiffany.

The dance.

The message.

His chest tightened at once.

He sat up on the guest bed. He was wearing a girls pijama Natalie had lent him. Traces of makeup remained around his eyes, faint dark smudges beneath the lashes betraying how much he had cried the night before.

Saturday arrived.

Samuel went to Natalie's house early in the afternoon, long before the St. Catherine's Graduation Gala would begin. He expected a few hours of preparation. He did not expect what he found.

Natalie led him to the terrace.

It looked as if an entire salon had been transported into her home.

Peter found Ralph depressed over his breakup with his long term girlfriend. To cheer up Ralph, peter decides to take him to a Party. Turns out its not some normal party, it's a Swap-Party , where people can swap bodies with eachother with a kiss to forehead.

Chapter One — The Suitable Date

From behind the wheel of the idling car, Gwen Aldous watched Sam come down the dormitory steps in the rented tuxedo and felt something in her chest pull tight that she couldn't quite name.

Two marginalized college students, Sam and Pat, get revenge on cheerleaders Talia and Megan by using the Medallion of Zulo to copy their bodies and film themselves kissing and making out. They post the photos and videos on Keyhole, an online subscription community. The plan works but at what cost when the students must return to class as themselves.

Henry and David had been friends since high school. The two engaged in various activities together, including playing sports, pursuing the same women, and indulging in considerable drinking. Both men had married well; Henry was wed to Ellen, a career-oriented woman, while David was married to Linda, who hailed from a wealthy background. Together, Henry and David operated an investment firm that thrived throughout the 2030s, until the significant crash of 2036.
