is no longer melting!
Well it never really was - 1976 it is not! (for those under 55 and not from the UK, that was the year of the long hot summer, weeks of 25c+ and no rain for 6 months) Anyhow after several days into the low 30's c, its starting to lose some of the ferocity and we've got a bit of air movement so it's much more comfortable.
I have been out, short walk Monday, about 45km on the bike yesterday and an 8km walk today but the heat and humidity haven't been conducive to much physical effort. Even the few hours of darkness have failed to offer much relief, temperatures staying close to 20c each night - sticky!
Some of you may have seen that the next Gaby part work is available over on Amazon,

I'll be returning to the keyboard once my head - and the weather, have settled back down.
As for the rest of this week, well there could be a seaside trip on the bike and maybe a 'walking' excursion on Friday - we shall have to see how i feel.
So that's it for today, back Sunday with more May Queen before we head into June,
Tschussie,

There is rain about
My friend who lives in Norwich had a severe thunderstorm last night.
I just came back from a short trip to Brittany. Lots of very quiet roads and beautiful scenery. I was in a place called Le Faou, 30km or so SE of Brest. There are lots of very nice biking (as in pedal sort) roads around there. There were a lot of bikers on the roads over the weekend. I managed to finish 4 stories in 5 days.

apparently
there were thunderstorms and even hail between Brizz and Swindon last night, stayed dry and far too hot here!

Unusually hot in Britain
I read that it reached 34.8C a few days ago in London. Hard to believe. And some still deny climate change is happening.
