sweet chapter
nice to see the phantoms back again and having a blast on the roads.
looks like a lot of fun and games to be had,
cannot wait to see what You come up with next for these truckers ,

Pogue County, Indeed
Great story line and a wonderful chapter. And for those of you who don't understand the significance of Pogue County: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pogue
Smashing...
What a smashing chapter. I was waiting impatiently for it, and wow Snowfall did you deliver.
One superb adrenaline fill chapter, thanks.

Bocum's
prediction was right, though I suppose he expected to get back himself.
The longest part of reading this is....
Having to hunt down the songs on youtube, turning up the volume to trucker level and playing said tracks before one can return to the story!
Snowfall,
It would be really kind, and very much appreciated, if you could link to the youtube track in story... pretty please? It makes the tale come to life to have the soundtrack too.
Loving it as always, although I still think some of the weapons load outs are a bit dodgy :)

OMG!
You'd think some of the yahoos in this story were the last one in line when they passed out brains and thought they said trains and said" I'll wait and take they next one, thanks!". Had to enjoy your driver's visit to Ef's story and the others as well. I hope that the next chapter will be out soon, and as exciting as this one! KUDOS!
Totally awesome
Love it. I'll be trip-9's co-driver anytime anywhere with benefits
Every time you do a story you
Every time you do a story you hit the nail on the head .You are the big closet ,Tom Clancy.Love that the bent old bill got wasted and that was all forks as far as the powers that be have to say about that .More pretty pretty please
Thank you for that honor!
Thank you for that honor!
You gave me a preview of what you were going to write and it reads just as amazing the second time through as the first. Faust was a perfect foil for the rigid Willie and concerned Kennedy and played off Reed's enthusiasm and you well. He is a heck of a character and one that revels in his reputation and I can't wait to see where you are going with him in the future!
The other drivers are simply outstanding in terms of personality and working around the other unique quirks and how they deal with dangerous situations. Trip being the cold, calculating person is sad and making me hope that it's not going lead to a big issue later on. She's good at her job, but she is almost robotic in her motions as the PTSD hits. HOpefully she is bound for something that helps her overcome her demons and still remain the top driver that she is.

I love it!!
Damn Snowfall you just keep getting better and better, I swear every story every chapter is more wild and crazy than the last, and everything is so tied in together I'd swear I was reading a Michael Bay film with all the backstories and amazing detail tied in with a great story line!! =]
Thank you so much for posting this for us to drool over!

Don't Mess with the Truckers
The action was non stop, the assigned high priority cargo realistic, and the dedication of the drivers believable.
No matter how mean one thinks they are, there are others meaner. It takes a special kind of mentality to be a Navy Seal, Green Beret, Black Ops. Most of them are the nicest people you would ever meet. They don't have to prove anything to anyone. One thing for sure, never be on the wrong side when they are "engaged."
Snowfall has built his drivers around those special kind of people. Their rigs? If one asked nicely a million dollars might let one lean in the window and smell the air. Most rigs are automatic transmission now but he's right about the only time a clutch is used is putting it in first gear or reverse. Brought back memories for sure.
Have fun with life, it's too short to take seriously

Interesting addition......
One thing to point out.......
Any moron, cop or otherwise, that thinks they can stop 80,000 lbs. of truck moving in excess of 100 mph with a couple of cars or trucks blocking the road shouldn't be allowed to breed. It's simple physics people.....
P=mv
Not to mention that even without armored glass and cabs, a small caliber round might hit the driver, but that simply turns the truck into an unguided missile.
Truly looking forward to more of this one Hon.

mythbusters!
You are very right on that and it made me think of Mythbusters and what they did to cars with a smaller truck. With a fully loaded and heavily modified truck it would be even worse for the road blocks. Case in point: end up like thisor maybe like this
They are more for fear but the trucks will just plow through and leave potential fire hazards and explosions in their wake. The intimidation won't work with those drivers and nor should they.

Crossover
I have done a crossover with efindumb and had fun doing it. I have an idea that may need the help of a special type of trucker. I was wondering if that can be possible.
It would be fun to work something out.
Oh, boy
I missed the first chapter of this, so actually started here. I've talked to my share of drivers while out on the road, but that's about it. I've always said I'd do anything to make a buck, and darn near have. Driving, I'd be out of my league. I'm enjoying this look at the wilder side.
I've seen one government load that I knew of. Cylinder shape under the tarp, could have been just about anything. They had to shut my side down so the truck could cross the bridge. The other side had an old overhead steel truss bridge and the load either wouldn't fit or was too heavy. Between the military police and the staties I think there were more escort cars than the president gets. Oh, yeah, and two black SUVs.

cool!
secret truckers!
So people are born stupid,
So people are born stupid, and others become that way when they get to wear a badge. Ah well, another portion of the gene pool cleaned out.
Maybe not as much fiction as you think?
Years ago I was driving between Bozeman and Missoula on a road that had no speed limit then. I was in a 4x4 pickup that didn't feel good, especially on a road that was new to me, over about 90 Mph. I was very surprised to find Road trucks wanting around me at that speed. Rather quickly, I moved over to the slow lane and dropped to about 75 or so. I was on vacation and wanted to relax.
I've been all over the west, and drive all night a few times because I like the quiet and solitude. Once in awhile, I'd get passed by a road truck that seemed larger than usual and they were going too fast to even estimate. Years later, a friend who drives fuel trucks told me that those big tractors are used mainly in Canada and outback Austrailia and have lots of horse power.
The idea of special military loads is not strange to me. I was Military Police in the Army and saw things.

Back on the road
and very welcome. I'd been wondering where the crew had got to.
Yeah, the music references are good, and prompt some background sound from over at the Tube. Links would be nice but I've usually found a track fairly quickly so not really put out.
The brakes on that Kenworth must have warmed up more than a touch. Do they have ABS on the trailers?

The comment about trying to
The comment about trying to stop a lorry with a couple of cop cars is spot on don't know phyics but drove HGV CLASS2 back in the day .Why do you think loony toon islam nutters use them to attack crowds hard to stop. Unless you have the big road block blocks already set up. If you watch good fellers film most of the hijacks were give me with the driver in on it for a cash payment. So that bunch of dumb copper were mega stupid.
Please
Don't make us wait too long for another round of stories. I love this series and enjoy watching the drivers make mince meat out of the muggles.
love the story.
love the story.
you can try to idiot proof things but they just keep building a better idiot.
