well sort of!
It has been quite the busy week what with one thing and another.
Thursday i was back out on two wheels trying to collect a few metres for the challenge, which turned into 100km with my first proper off tarmac in weeks, almost twenty km of new to me routes and 830m of up. Whilst not as hot as it has been, it was dry and i barely eked my fluids out through the day.
Friday was all about writing more Gaby and preparing the new book release, of course i put out a 'press' release on Friday but here's a reminder. Gaby- Changing Lives Part 8 is now available on Amazon, simply click on the image below.
On to Saturday and whilst i wanted some metres i also didn't want as long a ride so i ended up with a route through the crinkly countryside south of the Avon between Bath and Brizz. A new to me stretch of the Fosse Way was just the first of several short bits of byway/bridleway ticked off on the 75km route, a whopping 1029m of up gives a clue to the effort which for this area is quite intense. I had to stop for ice cream but the day was a bit cooler and enjoyable.
I've now reached a tidy 5953m for the challenge which leaves me 2891m left to do in 12 days / 5 rides so i could dial things back a bit - nah, lets smash it!
And so to today. It's another slightly cooler day, i will go for a walk after this post, nothing too exciting although i'd really like a walk on the Moors except they are a good four hours away by car! So i guess it'll be a bit closer to base.
I have of course posted more Daisy this morning, click the link and you can read Part 13 of May Queen now.
As for the coming week, well i'll be cracking on with the new Gaby of course and i've got a couple of nice bike rides pencilled in, a trip to the coast and one to the REME Museum at RAF Lyneham.
I will of course be back here on Wednesday but until then,
Tschuss,
Madeline Anafrid

Moor walking
I didn't think Exmoor was that far away, Dartmoor can't be much further.
Dogs have owners; cats have staff. Grand-daughters have minions.
I don’t
Really count them, not high enough, big enough or wild enough and still 2.5 to 3 hours from here.
Plus of course I can’t drive so I was only using driving time as a metric folk could relate to.
