Or pretty close at least.

I was of course up in GOC when the last 'full' solar eclipse graced the skies above the UK in 1999, we took a few minutes out of building and selling bikes to 'see' it, i was a bit underwhelmed. But today i get another chance to experience the phenomena so at @ 18.30 i'll be waiting in the garden.

We are having another dose of warmer weather hereabouts this week, we expect 33c later today and tomorrow before it drops back to less intensive heat towards the weekend. Monday saw me take on my regular River Frome walk before i got down to finish the 61st chapter of the current Gaby book, Changing Lives. Of course, Patreon's can read it now and today i'll be cracking on with part 62.

Tuesday is of course my regular ride day and with a warming, 30c forecast, an earlier start seemed prudent. Not too early mind, but it was a nice morning as i headed east then south for my lunch stop at Lacock. Why Lacock i hear you ask, well toilets, shady picnic benches and the opportunity, if i feel like it, to get supplies at the NT cafe! A loop around Melksham headed me back towards base, stopping the clock at 4 hours 38 minutes for the 103km and 771m.

And so to today, before i get too engrossed in the writing, and the day warms up too much, i'll be out for a walk - i need milk and it often helps me settle the plot in my head without the distractions of inadvertent doomscrolling!
