So here is a medical update:
Sharon turned out to have food poisoning, so she will need meds for a while, but should make a full recovery.
As for me, my lung is almost completely refilled, but I do have scar tissue from where they attached the drainage hose. other than that, I'm doing pretty good, except some issues with fat on my liver they want to do a test on.
So I guess you all are stuck with me for a while yet!

Scar tissue
As someone who has recently ish had a triple bypass that involved two drains and a starter cable coming out of my chest, I can tell you that the scars have almost disappeared now. Unless you know where to look you won't even be able to find them.
I had fluid in my pleural cavity after the bypass and that was drained out via a punched hole in my back, left side. That has almost gone but because of the shape it is still visible. They took nearly a litre out of the cavity that time.
I'm not that young but even so I was surprised how well everything healed up afterwards. I hope that yours will do the same.

Dogs have owners; cats have staff. Grand-daughters have minions.
My father had a heart valve replacement
When he died years later you could barely see any scars
I think my sister had minor food poisoning recently
Fine now
Best of luck to all
BTW our youngest cat, the one who had an ear operation this summer hid on us much of thisweeken.
NOT normal for her
I crawled into three closets, poked all arould our basement and could not find her
Was afraid shed holed up to die
Then I hear soft crunching sounds and it was Gracie eating her dry food
Snoozing in a cat tent near me
Came out to eat more
Seems happy to be out and about
Just came out for water moments ago

Scars, Schmars!
Long as we’ve still got you, Dot, nothing else matters!
