It helps to change the environment
If your environment (family, friends, work, etc.) is not at least 50-60% supportive, it might be high time to make some drastic changes with that environment.
Very often a considerable physical distance, that makes casual contact very hard to nearly impossible, is a very important survival mechanism. Such a radical change will initially feel like things are getting worse, which might well be the case, but in the medium to long term it will help to improve your health. Because the wounds we all carry from social interactions will be able to heal without being constantly reopened by toxic relationships.
