Christmas checks on their guest as she peeks into their son’s old bedroom and look at the teenage boy Julia brought home early this morning. The poor thing had been abused and exploited by his uncle. She saw how many bruises and tattoos the poor kid had and not to mention how big his breasts were. They were bigger than hers and Julia’s combined.

Christmas looks down at Copper “protect the boy, Copper.”

Around two in the afternoon, Nathan starts waking up and finds himself covered by a heavy blanket and lying on some fresh sheets. He was wearing a peach color night gown. His head was still fuzzy from the drugs he was given by his uncle to make him more cooperative.

He looks at his breasts and wishes he could get rid of them. They were such a pain in the ass and never wanted them. His body betrayed him, not to mention his damn uncle as well. Nathan saw a note on the nightstand next to the bed with his name on it and a rust-colored fur wolf lying on the floor, watching him.

Just in case you don’t remember from this morning, you’re in my home. You’re safe here and have free roam of the house. If I know my wife, Christmas. There should be a pair of house slippers by the bed and a house robe that should fit you, hanging on the desk chair.

Nathan folds the note back up and put it back on the nightstand. He looks around the bedroom and notices it was decorated for a boy. He looks down at the wolf in the bedroom “you’re not going to eat me, if I get off the bed, are you?”

Copper looks up at the strange human and wags her tail. Her tongue hangs out of her mouth.

“I’m going to take that as a no.” Nathan slides out of bed and finds the slippers.

He puts the slippers on and looks around the bedroom. He spots the house robe hanging on the back of the desk chair. He grabs it and slips it on. It barely covered his huge breasts. He wishes he could get rid of them.

Nathan looks down at the wolf “are you hungry, too?”

Copper stands up and walks out of the bedroom first. She stops in the hallway and looks back towards the bedroom.

“I’m coming.” Nathan walks out of the bedroom. He was feeling sore on his right-hand side where his uncle kicked him.

He noticed when he got up, all his injuries had been taken care of. He was bandaged up around his chest, where one of the men at the party had burned him. The bastard had wanted to hear him scream, and he wouldn’t do it. So, the bastard burned him and then pour alcohol on the burn, causing it to burn even more.

The drug his uncle kept giving him to cooperate with the men he brought to have sex with him or take pictures. There were track marks on both his arms, where his uncle kept sticking him with a needle. Nathan follows the rusty color wolf downstairs.

Nathan continues to follow Copper towards the kitchen. When he walks into the kitchen, he spots a dirty blonde hair middle age woman. Nathan stops near one of the stools next to him.

“Are you Christmas?” Nathan continues to watch the woman.

Christmas had noticed Copper and the young man Julia brought home with her. A smile appears on her face “yes, I’m Christmas. And if I’m not mistaking, you’re Nathan Keegan.”

Nathan nods his head, yes. He stayed by the stool and felt a tingling sensation in his right hand.

“Are you hungry?” Christmas looks at the young man. The house robe barely covered his chest.

“Yes ma’am.” Nathan hasn’t had anything to eat for two days.

“Well, I hope you like roast beef sandwiches and potato chips.” Christmas walks over to the refrigerator and grab the luncheon meat.

Nathan pulls one of the stools out and sits down on it. He watches Christmas as she makes him a nice thick sandwich and places it on a plate. He watches as she grabs a bag of opened chips and pour a bunch onto the plate.

“What would you like to drink, Nathan?” Christmas turns around to look at him.

“A soda, if you have any, please.” Nathan didn’t get to drink soda much.

“I think we have some cold cans of Pepsi and Coke. Which do you prefer?” Christmas had opened the refrigerator again and puts the luncheon meat back inside, along with the cheese.

“Either one is fine, ma’am.” Nathan didn’t have a preference.

“Okay, Pepsi it is then.” Christmas grabs a cold can of Pepsi.

Christmas walks over to the counter and places the plate and soda before him. She looks into his bruised eyes “eat up and if you want more, just ask.”

“Thank you.” Nathan’s stomach growls.

A smirk appears on Christmas’s face. “I think you’ll be asking for seconds.”

Nathan blushes from embarrassment. He picks the sandwich up and takes a nice bite from it. He couldn’t believe how good the meat tasted. A low moan escapes from his mouth as he enjoys the sandwich. Before he starts eating the other half of his sandwich, he starts on the chips.

Christmas starts making another sandwich for Nathan. She places the sandwich on Nathan’s plate. She looks at him “I figure you would like another one.”

“Thank you.” Nathan was glad Mrs. Christmas made him another sandwich.

While Nathan is eating, he spots the woman who rescued him last night and brought him to her place this morning. He waves at her, as she enters the kitchen.

“How are you feeling, Nathan?” Julia spots Nathan eating a sandwich.

“Sore.” Nathan was still feeling everything his uncle did to him last night.

“Well, Dr. Payne did say you took a hell of a beating, and it would take time for you to heal from your injuries.” Julia had stayed with Dr. Payne while he was at her house examining Nathan.

Julia was curious why Nathan had breasts that were larger than hers and Christmas’s put together. She knew there had been people experimented on and had drugs given to them, to make them appear or change them into women. But according to Dr. Payne, Nathan’s problem was a rare genetic birth defect that caused his breasts to become so enormous.

Dr. Payne did say that Nathan could get a breast reduction, but he couldn’t get them totally removed. She was going to leave that decision up to Nathan to decide. She was willing to pay for the reduction out of her own pocket for him to be semi-normal if he wanted to do it.

The whip marks and scars on Nathan’s breasts were caused from clients who enjoyed inflicting pain or to see how much the young teenage boy could take. They were so big that Julia knew specialty bras were going to have to be ordered for Nathan to support them. Maybe a few custom-made corsets might help support them.

After Nathan had eaten his full, he leans back on the stool. It had a back support, so he wouldn’t fall backwards. He looks at Julia “what is going to happen to me, Mrs. Bounty?”

“Well, you’ll stay with me and my wife until Child Protective Services locate a family member who might be willing to take you in.”

“Fat chance of that, Mrs. Bounty. None of my mother’s and father’s relatives wanted to take me in after my parents died from covid. My uncle Joe was the only one who would.”

“Well, if that is the case, me and my wife can ask to be your foster mothers if you wish to stay here.”

Dr. Payne, took some blood samples from you and he’s going to let us know why your body is causing your breasts to grow so big. As for the drugs your uncle gave you. There will be some withdraws, but we’ll be here to help you.” Julia moves over to Nathan and hugs him.

Christmas comes over and joined them. She looks into Nathan’s hazel eyes “we’re here for you, sweetie.” She kisses Nathan’s forehead.

Over the next two weeks, Nathan adapts to wearing several custom bras a company made for him by the name of Bust Support sends him. They wanted feedback from Nathan on how they felt and supported his breasts. As for Doctor Payne, he was helping Nathan with the withdraws he was going through. It seemed, Nathan’s uncle used a powerful heroin mixture to make Nathan more cooperative.

Christmas makes appointments for those for Nathan. She also gives him a placement test to see what his reading, comprehending, and English
education level was. Once Christmas has that information, she enrolls him into the same private school that all their kids went to.

It was still summer break, so Nathan had time before school started and time to recover from the drugs used on him. She also makes an appointment with a cosmetic breasts doctor to have Nathan’s breasts reduce, so they didn’t hurt his back so much.

Julia is finishing up her last patrol, when she spots a young woman walking down the street at five in the morning. She was stumbling along and when the headlights of Julia’s SUV illuminated the woman, she was wearing a torn bloody man’s shirt and nothing else. She was covered in blood and her face looked swollen and bruised. She was limping along the side of the road.

Julia stops her SUV and keeps her headlights illuminated on the woman. She cautiously gets out of the SUV and walk towards the young girl.
“I’m officer Bounty, I’m here to help you. Are you okay?”

Maria notices a police SUV stopping in front of her. She shields her eyes to protect them from the bright headlights shining at her. She stops and
looks towards the SUV, and spot a person getting out of the SUV and start walking towards her.

She listens to the female voice as it spoke to her. She could barely hear the woman, because of the damage done to her ears. The bastard who kidnapped her off the streets of New York and brought her halfway across the country to pimp her out.

Maria watches as a female police officer, calling herself officer Bounty slowly approached her. She could see that the police officer was wondering what happened to her.

“Do you need help?” Julia could see that the woman in front of looked like hell.

“Yes, I need help.” Maria wonders if she can trust this police woman. She’s been fooled before by other police officers and government agents.

“Okay, let’s get you to the hospital as quickly as possible.” Julia grabs a blanket from the back and looks at Terror “Cosain!”

Maria looks behind her after she gets into the SUV and saw a huge wolf looking back at her. She pulls the blanket tighter around her for protection. She looks at Julia “is he yours?”

“It’s more that I am his.” Julia puts the SUV in drive and head towards the nearest hospital.

Once they arrive at the hospital, Julia remains with the young woman. She let’s the doctor on duty do their work, before asking the woman who she was and what happened. By the time Julia and the woman is taken care of. Julia takes the woman back to her house.

Maria didn’t want to stay at the hospital overnight. She made that mistake before and the guy who kidnapped her, found her. When Julia offered to let her stay at her own house, she was haste at first, but felt she could trust the female police officer.

By the time Julia arrived back at her house. She looks back towards the backseat and notices the girl she picked up during her patrol. She was sound asleep on the back seat. Julia opens the cargo area to let Terror out. She looks at the young girl asleep on the backseat.

Julia opens the back passenger door on her SUV and gently pull the girl to her. She holds the girl close to her, so her head is resting against her shoulder. Julia manages to close the door of the SUV and carry the girl towards the house in her arms.

Terror runs off to play with the other wolves on the ranch. He had heard the call of Chaos and was obeying the call.

“Traitor!” Julia yells after Terror.

She walks up to the front porch and is meet by Katy at the door. She was wearing her robe, since it was after nine at night.

“I see that you brought another stray home.” Katy had been informed when she returned from her vacation that Julia and Christmas had a teenage boy staying at the house.

He had been a sexual victim of his uncle and was born with a weird genetic birth defect that caused him to develop breasts like a woman. His breasts were so enormous, that they put Julia’s and Christmas’s breasts to shame. Also, a fourteen-year-old boy having breasts looked strange.

She wasn’t the only girl either, she had been transported with several other girls that had been kidnapped off the streets or tricked by promise of work.

“I found her on the way back to the station.” Julia adjusts the way she was carrying the girl.

“Here, let me carry her, Julia. I’ve prepared the other spare bedroom, across from Haylee’s bedroom.”

“Thanks, Katy.” Julia transfers Maria to Katy and goes back to the SUV to grab the other things she left.

Katy carries Maria upstairs to the spare bedroom next to Haylee’s bedroom. She had already laid out a pair of panties and a night gown for
Maria. She puts those on Maira and lays her down in bed. Katy tucks one of the spare Teddy bears they keep in the house next to Maria.

“Sweet dreams little one.” Katy places a kiss on Maria’s forehead and exits the bedroom. She leaves the door slightly open for the girl, to let her know, she isn’t trapped.

When morning arrives, Nathan is woken up by his alarm clock. He hated getting up at five in the morning, but he did it to feed the horses, chickens, cows, and goats that Julia was raising. He learned after a few days of living with Julia and Christmas, that besides Julia being a cop and Christmas being a teacher. They also had a working farm as well. That the two women had two daughters and three sons. Two of the boys were toddlers, and the other boy was studying overseas.

He gets up and changes out of the pajamas he wore to bed. The pajamas were made for a girl, but felt soft against his skin. He puts on the custom bra Christmas took him to be measured for. Dr. Payne has already made arrangements for him to get a reduction next month.

Once Nathan is dressed, he heads downstairs, where he spots Katy in the kitchen fixing breakfast for him. A smile appears on his face when he sees Katy “morning Katy.”

“Morning, kiddo. How did you sleep?” Katy knew Nathan hasn’t been sleeping well, because of the memories of what was done to him.

“Better than last night. Dr. Marsha Black said that it is going to take time for me to overcome what my uncle and his clients did to me.” Nathan knew he could trust Katy.

“Well, just know we are here for you, Nathan. There’s nothing none of us wouldn’t do for you.” Katy wanted Nathan to know he had people who cared about him.

Nathan looks at Katy when she says that. He goes to speak, but is interrupted by the toaster going off. He walks over and sits down at the counter, while Katy finished fixing him his breakfast.

After breakfast, he goes out to feed everyone. It was cool outside, so Nathan takes his time feeding everyone. He loved the fact that Julia’s property was connected to her father’s and you could get to her other sister’s property by going through her father’s property.

Later in the morning, Maria wakes up and finds herself in a bedroom with nice smelling blankets covering her bandaged up body. She notices someone had put a nice nightgown on her and she could feel that she was wearing panties as well. She hears a vacuum cleaner out in the hallway.

Next to the bed, she spots a fold piece of paper with her name on it. She picks it up and opens it.

I wanted to tell you that you are safe and have the run of the house. There is a woman named Katy that takes care of the house and will fix you breakfast or lunch when you wake up. My wife should already be up and her name is Christmas. She has dirty blonde hair and is around my age. Also, you will encounter a young man by the name of Nathan as well. Maria tentatively leaves the bedroom and spots a young woman, vacuuming the hallway. She was wearing an oversized t-shirt and a pair of comfortable leggings. She also had a nice pair of tennis shoes on.

Maria stops and just watches her. She wasn’t sure if this woman was nice or mean. She has been mistreated by a few women who were supposed to watch her and the other girls.

Katy spots Maria standing in the hallway. She turns the vacuum cleaner off to speak to her. “Hi, I’m Katy, and I’m the house keeper. Are you hungry or thirsty?”

“Hungry.” Just as she says that, her stomach growls.

A smirk appears on Katy’s face “let’s go down to the kitchen and put some food into you, Maria.”

“How do you know my name?” Maria was curious how this woman knew her name.

“Julia told me all about you last night. I also put the clothes you are wearing on you.” Katy holds her hand out to Maria.

Maria looks at Katy’s hand, and reaches for it. She was still a little scared to grab the woman’s hand. Once she touches Katy’s hand, she feels Katy gingerly close her hand around hers.

“Come on, let’s fed you.” Katy escorts Maria down to the kitchen.

Maria follows Katy to the kitchen and sits down on the stools down there near the counter. She watches as Katy brings out some already cooked taco meat and everything for her to make tacos. She watches as Katy makes her four tacos.

“Here you go kiddo. Four Mexican style tacos. We have mild or hot taco sauce if you would like some.” Katy sets two bottles of sauce in front of Maria, along with a tall glass of iced tea.

Katy makes herself some tacos and makes some for Nathan as well. She knew he should be coming back to the house for lunch. She sits down next to Maria and eats her tacos.

A few minutes later, Nathan comes walking into the kitchen feeling hungry. He spots an unknown girl and Katy sitting at the counter eating tacos.
He stops near the girl “Hi, I’m Nathan.”

Maria looks at Nathan and notices he had big breasts. She has never known a boy to have breasts.

“I’m Maria.” She holds her tiny hand out to Nathan.

Nathan shakes Maria’s hand “it’s nice to meet you, Maria.”

A smile appears on Katy’s face as she gets up and sets the plate she set aside for Nathan on the other side of Maria. She figures he would be hungry and made up six tacos for him. She looks towards Nathan “there’s mild and hot sauce for the tacos if you want some.”

“Thanks, Katy.” Nathan fixes himself a glass of sweet tea and sits down next to Maria.

Maria watches as Nathan sits down next to her and start eating. She wanted to ask him, how come he had breasts like her and Katy, but didn’t want to seem rude. Just as she was about to ask Nathan, a question. A miniature collie and a Coyote come running into the kitchen.

Katy gets up again and walks around the counter and places two food bowls on the counter. One had the name Roxy on it. The other bowl had the name Crackers on it.

“Here you two go.” Katy places the bowl on the floor for Roxy and Crackers.

Just as Katy stands up, Haylee comes walking into the kitchen. She just got back from helping Dr. Crook in Washington state. “Hi, Katy.”

“Haylee, I would like for you to meet Nathan and Maria. Your mother rescued them.” Katy figures there would be a house meeting later.

Haylee looks at Nathan and Maria. She noticed Nathan had breasts bigger than her mothers. As for Maria, she notices all the bandages covering her body. She holds out her hand to both of them “Hi, I’m Haylee Bounty. Welcome to our family.”

Nathan shakes Haylee’s hand first. He saw her pictures around the house. “Hi, I’m Nathan Keegan. It’ nice to meet you, Haylee.”

Nathan releases Haylee’s hand, so Maria could shake her hand. She saw how nervous Maria was.

Maria reaches forward and grips Haylee’s hand lightly. She was still being cautious “I’m Maria Winters. It’s nice to meet you, ma’am.” She releases her hand right away.

Haylee saw how nervous and cautious Maria was. She could relate to Maria. “It’s nice to meet you as well, Maria. If you need anything, feel free to ask or if you just want someone to talk, I’m a good listener.”

“Thank you.” Maria looks down at the two animals and wonder what breed they were.

“Have you eaten, Haylee?” Katy was getting up to fix something for Haylee.

“Yes ma’am. I stopped at McDonalds on my way here. I skipped breakfast this morning.” Haylee walks around the counter and grab a cold bottle water from the refrigerator.

After lunch, Christmas takes Maria shopping. She had some clothes from when Haylee was Maria’s age in storage for her to wear. However, Maria had a fully developed chest and would need proper bras for her to wear.

As for Nathan, he spent the rest of the afternoon with Arnold and Misty. They were going for a ride and Arnold was teaching Nathan how to ride. Julia was still asleep, because of how late she got in.

Christmas noticed how Maria didn’t leave her side and when she went into the dressing room to try clothes on. She wanted Christmas to be with her. By the time they get back home, Maria had several new boots, shoes, and dress shoes. She also had three brand new packages of panties, undergarments, socks, and everything she needed or wanted. As for clothes, they had a bunch for her. Christmas picked a lot of nice outfits for her. Some of her clothes were brand new and some were from a thrift store Christmas and Julia liked shopping at. They had a lot of nice used clothes, that were still in fashion.

After shopping, they visited Silvia to see how her shop was doing. Christmas knew Silvia and her family have been coming over on Sundays for family dinner. Their father has requested that Sundays be kept open for family dinner.

Christmas bought Maria some of the special treats that her sister-in-law made at the bakery. Maria relaxes some around Christmas. She notices that Christmas stayed nearby, so she didn’t feel uncomfortable.

Later in the afternoon, they head back towards the house. They found Nathan in the kitchen eating a snack. He just got back from horseback riding and his thighs were sore.

“You guys look like you bought the store out.” Nathan spotted the new clothes on Maria.

Not only did she have new clothes, but a new hair cut as well. Nathan knew Julia and Christmas had done the same thing for him as well. They took him shopping and got his hair styled to how he wanted it. He had a breasts reduction surgery appointment coming up to reduce his breasts to something less painful on his back.

Maria looks at Nathan “Christmas took me shopping.”

“Well, she’s the perfect shopper.” Nathan liked shopping with Christmas.

Julia stretches her arms as she yawns walking into the kitchen. She just woke up and was feeling hungry. She walks over and kisses Christmas on the lips. She looks at Nathan and Maria “how are you two doing this morning?” Julia was concerned about her new kids.

Maria looks at Julia “I went shopping with Christmas, Mrs. Bounty.”

“I went horseback riding with Arnold, Misty, and Haylee, Julia.” Nathan loved learning how to ride.

“You are going to be hurting tonight, Nathan. Have you ridden before?” Julia knew what it was like for a first timer.

“No ma’am.” Nathan was concern. He hopes Haylee and Arnold didn’t set him up.

Julia walks over to the pantry cabinet and pull out a white bottle. She opens it and shakes out a single blue pill and closes the bottle. She puts it back where she got it from.

“Take this Nathan. I promise it’s not anything dangerous, it’s just a pain pill to help you with the pain you’re going to feel later. All first-time riders who go on their first long ride feels pain.” Julia watches Nathan’s facial expression.

Nathan was hesitated about taking medicine from strangers after his experience with his uncle. He accepts the pill and pop it into his mouth. He accepts the glass of juice that Christmas hands him.

“You’re going to welcome the pain relief later, sweetie.” Julia walks over and kisses Nathan’s forehead.

Alright kids, who wants to help me make dinner?” Christmas watches as Julia walks over to the refrigerator and pull out a few snacks.

“I will sweetie. Let the kids go and relax.” Julia didn’t mind helping her wife.

Christmas looks at the kids “you heard your mother, kiddo’s. Go and relax. Maria, I’ll be up to help you put away your new clothes.”

“If you don’t mind, mom. I’ll help her.” Catori just walked into the house.

She just got back from the reservation visiting her relatives there. She may carry the Bounty last name, but she was still a member of her Native American family.

“Nathan, Maria, this is our daughter Catori Bounty. Her brother Chayton is in England in the British Military.” Christmas had introduced their youngest daughter.

“It’s nice to meet you two. If there is anything you need or just want to talk about. Feel free to come to me.” Catori knew what it was like to be in foster care, and being adopted by Julia and Christmas.

“Thanks, Catori.”

Catori, Maria, and Nathan head upstairs to Maria’s bedroom to put her clothes away. Catori didn’t mind Nathan sleeping in her brother’s bedroom. She knew her brother would approve.

Haylee joins them for dinner. She looks at her mothers and her little sister. A smirk appears on her face. She knew her mothers might end up adopting Maria and Nathan. She’ll have some new siblings to help raise.

Over the next few weeks, Julia, Christmas, and their lawyer meet. Getting custody of Nathan wasn’t going to be a problem, but getting custody of Maria was a different story. Her case worker in New York was being a problem.

The case worker said he couldn’t find her paperwork at all. Which meant either someone sucked at their job or someone in the New York Child Protective Services was working with the traffickers.

Julia ran Maria’s fingerprints through missing children database and she wasn’t in the system at all. The other girls they rescued were all drugged up and in need of extensive medical help. Maria hadn’t been as bad as the other girls.

Those girls were in the hospital getting help. The foundation that Julia setup to help men, women, and children who were trafficked paid for them to have a place to stay to recover and their medical bills. She’ll have to go to New York or have Jester do some digging and find out more about Maria’s life and the people who transported her and the other girls across the country.

Julia sends a text to Jester and everything they had on Maria along with the other girls. She watches as Jester responds and inform them, she should have something for her by the end of the week. Julia looks at Christmas and their lawyer “Jester said she’ll have something for us by the end of the week.”

Betty Noland looks at Julia and Christmas “alright, keep me up to date on what she sends.”

“Will do.” Julia watches as Betty gathers her things up and leave the house.

“You know, raising teenagers are going to be a pain again.” Christmas looks at Julia when she says that.

“I know, but Nathan and Maria will be okay. We did okay with Haylee, Catori, and Chayton.” Julia was proud how their first three kids came out. Catori was still a teenager under eighteen years old. Haylee was almost twenty-one years old. Chayton, was over twenty-one years old and in the British Military.

Christmas pulls her laptop out and starts registering Nathan and Maria for school. She’ll have to give each child a test to determine what grade they need to be assigned too. She also needs to get Maria measure for her uniform. Nathan had already been measured for his uniform.

For the rest of the week, Maria meets Debbie and learns how to ride a horse from her. Jack was out of town visiting some of his businesses, so their meeting would have to wait. Nathan flies to California with Gina to have his breasts reduction there. By the time the surgery is done, he goes from a double K cup down to a DD cup.

By the time they get back home, two days later. The drugs Nathan was given were slowly wearing off. The pain pills he was given; he was careful with. He knew Gina wouldn’t allow anything to happen to him. He was learning that the Bounty family looked after their own and protected them.

By The following week, Julia gets a video face time request. When she answers it, it was Jester and she had a blackeye.

“What happened to you?” Julia couldn’t believe Jester had a blackeye. She was the one who normally gave them.

“I ran into a guy that would give Uncle Jack a fight for his money. I ended up break his right arm and dislocating his kneecaps. The reason I’m calling you, is that the gang that is doing the trafficking, is a nationwide operation. I’ve contacted the FBI and State Troopers. They are going to set up a task force to track what truckers are involved and to start checking each trailer at the weight stations.”

“That’s good, but what about Maria?” Julia was concerned about that.

“Her name is Maria Ann Mercer and she was born on July 15, 2013 in New York to a drug user mother. She’s been in and out of the foster system for years. The last foster home she was sent to was only in it for the money. They were using the kids they foster for manual labor. When the kids didn’t perform like they are expected to, they either starve them or beat them.”

“Okay, so why did child protective services not have her file?” Julia had a sneaking suspicion about why.

“The files were removed from the office to two agents handling their exploitation.” Jester found the two agents and gave them a beating for what they were doing.

“Alright, so Maria is free to adopt?” Julia makes a note on a legal pad.

“Yes, I’ll send you her file, along with the others I collected.” Jester had every file she didn’t turn over to the FBI.

“Alright. Thanks for doing this for me, Jester.”

“Wait until you get my bill, Julia.” An evil smile appears on her face.

“Thanks again.” Julia ends the video chat.

Julia goes and looks for Christmas to tell her they will be able to get guardianship of Maria and what she went through. She finds Christmas out in the greenhouse picking vegetables for dinner.

“Hey, sweetie. I just heard back from Jester about Maria.” Julia watches as Christmas puts the vegetables she just picked in the basket she liked using.

“What did Jester find?” Christmas turns around to face Julia.

“That there is a smuggling operation being conducted out of New York with foster kids that don’t have any other relatives. Their files are taken out of the system and the kids are given to traffickers either for slave labor or sexual exploitation.” Julia hated when kids are used like they are a piece of meat to be sold for money.

“How did they get around the safeguards placed in the foster system?” Christmas knew there had to be safeguards in place to prevent that.

“Easy, the system is overwhelmed and if you grease the right hands, anything can get lost among all that paperwork.” Julia knew how the system worked and how with the right connections and money anything could be done.

“You know, the more I learn how life is outside of our home. The more I feel disappointed and that what you and your family due to those people are justified.” Christmas knew the history of every Bounty child and their children.

“That’s why we do it, sweetie. Sometimes it makes those who do those crimes fear what will happen when we find out. The others, hope we never find out. I just wish more people would help.” Julia knew things were bad and tries not to bring home what happens out on the street.

“Well, I hope you find the people who do these things to these kids and make them pay.” Christmas knew her wife and father-in-law were good at what they did.

“We will sweetie. We will.” Julia hugs Christmas.

Over the next few weeks, Christmas and Julia manage to adopt Maria. They do the same thing for Nathan as well. Julia and Christmas have a new family picture taken with all the kids in it. Julia and Christmas mount the picture on the wall next to their old one.
