Love It
I love the Hogwarts references, very fitting with 11 year old kids going off to boarding school where they actually do have magic.
Keep up the good work ladies and may Faith be with you. :)

I can't help but think...

The ForceFaith Be With You!(Well, there is a Star Wars Tuesday meme thingy occurring on G+ today!)
I can't help but think Alpine Springs is fast becoming the TG1 Capital of Connecticut - possibly even the US... and it wouldn't surprise me if the handful we've met in town and the three in Sunshine Academy are just the tip of the iceberg :D
[1] Including those who aren't TG but were in a previous life...

Hmmmm
Alpine Springs. Sounds like a Colorado town. >< Good thing those two are being accompanied by someone - girls should never travel alone. Claire's should be exciting. They are fun stores to go through and some of the larger ones have better selections of perfumes and accessories.

Alpine Springs
Word of God(desses) places it in Connecticut, about an hour's drive NE of the real world settlement of New Haven - so probably in the Manchester / Glastonbury area (looks around the local area - you can certain tell it's New England by the placenames! I'm still mildly amused by "New Britain" and Essex being a small town). It's described as "a very old settlement town dating back to pre-Revolutionary New England."
It's also where most other tales in the Robinverse take place, and with a handful of benevolent immortals roaming around it's probably one of the safest settlements in the region (if you ignore a certain van driver from the early days of Becoming Robin...) :)

Indeed!
The original Becoming Robin needed a fictional town where I could paint fictional places of business without worrying about little details like street names being accurate, so I took inspiration from one of my favorite movies, Beetlejuice, which took place in the fictional town of Winter River, CT ;-)
Although Alpine Springs doesn't have a nice, covered bridge (but hmm... Perhaps it should? *grin*), I borrowed from the sleepy nature belying the supernatural happenings.
Most of Alpine Springs though, is 100% original. When I looked at the map to try and place a solid location, I chose the area north of New Haven because that area in the real world isn't very heavily populated, and would be easy to sneak a colonial-born village in without being too rough on anyone reading who's driven through or lives in the area.
I should also go ahead and mention Kingsley's fictional origins too. It's the next town over between Alpine Springs and New Haven, named for one of my favorite authors (Stephen King) :-D We haven't done much with it yet, but that's probably going to be the setting for my next novel once I've gotten more work done on Becoming Robin. :-)
It would be a hoot to have met a Dumbledore

I'm super jealous of Casey in one way
to be able to transition so young, to miss out on boy's puberty ...
Snerk! I wonder when they DO get their wands?
“So when do we get our wands?” Angel teased as she stepped into the office.
Bethany almost blurted something out but caught herself, “Wands are for witches in stories Angel sweetie.” as she watched Angel and Casey enter the office.
