"A very happy girl."
lovely.
Wouldn't it be nice to be in a place that made all of us so safe ...
Absolutely Loved It!
I loved this story of how Katie overcame so much to be who she really was and find the mother who had never stopped loving her and being reunited in the wonderful village of Penmarris. I find myself wishing there was a place like this where we would all be loved and accepted for who we are!
All's Well That Ends Well
But surely, this is not the end. We will require updates from Penmarris.

So Lovely to Read a Happy Ending
Thank you again Susan for a lovely end to a very exciting story, where so much happened so quickly.
It is amazing how much you can pack into a few chapters. This one was very close to Real Life as it is now in our world, and very Interesting, using that word in the Chinese Curse sense, as in "May you live in interesting times", as we are doing, now.
Several times it looked a lot like curtains for poor Katie, but I am and I am sure most everyone else who reads this will be much relieved that she survived.
I rather fancy a trip to Penmarris myself, one day, though my poor old car is wearing out and I would probably get lost trying to find it, so far away from the Western Isles.
I hope there will be more tales set in this wonderful wee town, soon.
Thank you again.

Happy, Happy, Happy, and a Teensy Bit Sad...
What a lovely story! I have looked forward to every episode with great anticipation, and great joy to find each posting. I'd like to say something about how wonderful your writing style and ability has become, but thinking back to when you first started posting here, I can't remember it ever not being wonderful, so just accept my thanks for being a wonderful writer who enjoys her craft and gifts us unworthy readers with great joy.
I'm a little sad that I don't have any more episodes of this story to anticipate, but it was such a bang-up splash of a marvelous and happy ending, that the joy overwhelms any sadness.
I'll be praying for your muse to inspire you again VERY soon!
Wonderful Simply Wonderful
Sue
What a lovely feel good story - thank you so much

Another wonderful visit to one of my favorite places!
I enjoyed this one as I have all of your Penmarris stories. Thanks so much for writing them! Now, if I could just find the real estate listings on the internet I think I'll have to move!
That was quite the gallop.
Thank you for another lovey story. Lady F as a child at 4:00 in the morning opening presents on Christmas Day. Um? just the kind of precociousness one could expect.
my first visit to a Penmarris story
This has been a brilliant story, sadness, excitement and joy all rolling around, thank you Susan x
Penmarris rules
Another great Penmarris story and another in the pipeline , life doesn't get better than that. Thank you .

Cool! She moled him down!
Problem is, he is the sort that can still come back. He's not dead yet.
While your observation is correct.
There are a few points that you have missed
1. He will be charged with attempted Kidnapping at gunpoint.
2. He will also be charged with possession if a firearm while
committing a criminal act.
3. Possession of a firearm without a licence.
(although not said I think the shotgun was stolen from Lady F, as her butler loads it with blank cartridges, nothing was said about damage done with the 2 discharges of said shotgun)
3. Assaulting an officer of the law while escaping custody.
And there then there is the Lady F factor, she may add charges of her own.
He ain't going far on a broken leg.
Charges
What I am confused about is the rape charge... Or was that the bit where he was already a wanted man?
A very nice ending for Katie
A very nice ending for Katie and her Mother. Would have been nice if Katie's "dad" had broken his neck as well as his leg, then they would have been rid of him for good. Hoping there may be further adventures in Penmarris with Katie, Sarah, and all her new girl friends plus John. Janice
What a difference
- a dance makes. Also my first peek into Penmarris. The community seems like more of a family than just Lady F.'s household offers. More reading is in order; nice one Sue.

The Moles Are Celebrating
Lady Fairbairn is getting rid of her shotgun. Actually the moles deserve a medal since it was their excavations which foiled Dad's insane plans.
How can one not applaud the finale of this story?
What is really exciting
Is the announcement of changes 3 is coming! To paraphrase Mel Brooks. I guess it'll be 'Changes 3, the search for more money'!
Lovely story
Sue, Thank you so much for another Penmarris story , Can't wait for the next one :-)

PENMARRIS FOREVER!!!!
Thank you Sue,
Katie's story is lovely. Hoorah for the moles! (and rabbits)
When I come to England, I'm DEFINITELY planning to visit that quaint seaside town. Penmarris lives in my dreams.
Thank you again for sharing your beautiful stories with all of us.
with love,

Did Changes 3
Did Changes 3 ever get finished/published?
wedding story
yet another fantastic story about penmarris and all its lovely people.
when is the wedding chapter going to be written ?
Lots ups and downs
like the landscape at Penmaris. As always you put us in a position which is unusual, don't think I've read one about a resident of a UK children's home and the search for the mother was very clever, good one Sue.
