Things were settling into a groove. ...or actually a set of parallel grooves. Life was kind of mellow and comfortably predictable. Until finally Colin saved up enough and he and Kesey set back out on the road.

And I found myself in jail.

The old fisherman was near the lifeboat station & noticed the arrival of Robyn & her horde of girls. He greeted Robyn; “Na then Lass tha is fair thronged with lisle lasses. Are yea about t lake on sands.”

Robyn, “I was going to start with a game of Volleyball.”

Old fishermen, “Na lass if I was like those young'uns I would want to get the sand castle built afore the tide comes in.”

Sydel, “They can perform magic but it is at a very low level. I tried to persuade them that it was wrong. They said they will only stop casting this way when at least two of their statues walk again. I certainly had not the power to do that so it continued.”

Gaby. “Aunt & cousin shortly you will both revert to the state you where in previously. Ursula we are going to visit the Umbongo.”

“Mary can you and your sisters investigate? If I am needed I will be there with additional help.” The four angels soon found the village. They found a man & a woman both praying.

The woman. “I am sure the Queen of the seas can help.”

The man, “No the Queen of the Heavens will send help.”

Mary, “Sorry to intrude but can we help?”

I was alone…staring at the clean, white ceiling. I thought about getting on the web, but felt relaxed and content to just lie there and let my eyes close and think about was would be happening in the next few days…the next few weeks. Suddenly, I thought of my dad. He didn’t know that he no longer had a son. I wanted him to know. I wanted him to realize that I would not be stumbling in his footsteps. The bad memories dissipated and I remembered the few times my dad smiled at me or held me. He was not soft like my mom, but hard and strong.

Clara, “Helen I was wondering if there is a way to help Isla as you know she look female apart from one area and we wondered if there was a way we could disguise what she had.”

Helen, “How is she coping with her change it was rather dramatic? In fact it shocked most of the medical staff. They all realised that there would be no return for him. How is the wife coping with the changes?”

Beatrice, “Calm down I am not going to hurt you.”

Gaby thought for a while, “Maddy do you know when we can possibly fit it in?”

Darcie, “I do if two weeks will do we could go there at half term. We have to be back here for the 31st October.”

Gaby, “Very well providing the Chinese can accommodate us then that is when we will go.”

Alexis and group went for a meal to Merry Old England that was situated down one of the many Passageways in Leeds. After that they made their way home.

Linze, “Mind if I look at your trinket box Astrid.

Astrid, “I might even put on some of these tomorrow.”

Linze looked at one item, “Astrid I did not notice this before.”

Several of the invited guests have to depart but it seems the rest wish to clarify their ideas. Eventually, Garia and Keren leave to travel north to Dekarran before the other guests follow. Along the way they remember previous journeys along this important highway.

Astrid, “Like we did for the old lady in the shop.”

Jenny, “Could you do it for me now?”

Jade spun & so did the other three followed by Astrid's leap into Jades arms.”

Laird Robert William of Kinkavell was looking through the mail that had recently been delivered to his address by the post lady. Most of it was junk mail and went immediately for recycling.

Chapter 28 India.

Amanda, “Gaby I was wondering if we could go to India.”

Gaby, “Have you detected more of us there?”

Amanda, “No but the historians here would like to visit the famous historical sites & then perhaps take Zita & her sisters for a visit to their father.”

Gaby, “In that case we had better take the Guards. Inform Princess Zita to prepare for a visit to the Indian sub continent.”

I watched the graphic depiction of our flight path on the screen. The plane crept slowly toward the northeast. I assumed the pilot knew the way, but it looked like we were headed for New York. We had been in the air less than a couple of hours, but it seemed longer. The total trip was almost 20 hours. The hormones I was taking provided some extra padding and made prolonged sitting less uncomfortable. I wished I could sleep, but I was never one who could fall asleep just anywhere. I certainly couldn’t sleep in a pressurized cabin miles in the air with dozens of strangers.

Chapter 10 Fun at the show.

The two of them caused a stir when they arrived at the theatre. The only seats Tilly could get were in the Royal box. The show was the Ken Dodd Show. Christobell said, “I always liked Ken.”

“So do I aunt.”

Ken looked up and said, “I see the Royal box is full tonight. I can now put on by Royal appointment on all my shows.”

There was a knock and a diddy man brought a message from Ken. “The king of the Diddymen invites you both back stage after the show.”

Back in Scarborough Aunt & Niece had quickly got all the shopping required. Rose had also mentioned.

Christobell, “I could do with going for some special outfits. I need a complete wardrobe & rather fast most of my other stuff can be dumped.”

Tilly, “Shopping with you is almost like shopping with Aunt but more fun.”

Mikey and I were sitting over iced teas and snacks discussing our 'Asia blitz'. He seemed a little distracted.

“....What?....” I asked him.

He shook off his distraction and glanced at me. “Huh?”

“You seem distracted. Penny for your thoughts.”

“US or Australian?” he laughed hollowly.

I simply raised an eyebrow and cocked my head.

“....I was just thinking.... it's been a pretty wild ride... way more than I expected.... than either of us expected?”

My nod was as understated as his declaration. He laughed again. It still sounded conflicted.

*Before…

We sort of stop and we’re doing this sort of linked up kind of processing about all of the stuff we’ve been talking about and she steps up to the food tables.

“After we eat you and me we’ll take Bhlaze out and we’ll practice.”

“Flying patrol, and isn’t it dangerous out there?”

“Flying patrol and it is dangerous and we have Bhlaze with us so we have a dragon to watch over us.”

“And while we’re gone?”

“We help Kyte out with her family and leave her in charge.”

I smile. “That’s actually a good idea, her cousin Rafe might have a WTF over that and if not at least it’ll be a good thing for her and her men.”
