Brother’s Keeper
A Short Story
By Maryanne Peters

I adored my brother Jason, and I wanted nothing more than to hang around with him. But I knew that I was an embarrassment. I was less than two years younger than him, but I was half his size. He was born to be big, and I was born to be small. He was born to be strong – a natural athlete, and I was born to be … not that. He liked to hang around with his pals – the jocks – Kevin, Brad and Hans. They were guys like him. Guys to be admired by guys like I was.

Brandon’s mother was desperate and so she called on him to help.

“I have a property just listed for a quick sale and it is a mess,” she said. “I can sell it as “a handyman’s delight” but it just needs some tidying up inside. Just a little primping to show it off a bit. Could you help me, Brandon? I will pay you out of the sales commission.”

Have you heard it said that a friend is somebody who will help you move house, but a best friend is somebody who will help you move a body? That is the kind of friend my brother Dan was to Byron Marker. And I was as close to Dan as a sister could be, which was how I got to be included in their plan.

Part 1 – Before the Pageant

“Is that really your hair? I can’t believe it,” said Mac, at last working the mouth that had just gaped for a full minute.

“Color highlights, curlers, backcombing and hair spray and shit. You would not believe what I have been through.” said Brad. “Like I just said, I wish I had never got Mom involved.”

“You will win the prize, Man,” said Mac. “You just have to, looking like that.

Billy’s Desires

Billy’s Desires
A Short Story

I had convinced myself that being born male was the best thing in the world. I mean, men run it – the world I mean. Men are in charge. Women have babies. Women are meant to look pretty and look at their men adoringly, but they offer nothing when it comes to leadership or innovation – that was my position, back then. Somehow it seemed that the more I said it out loud, the truer it became.

I was born in 1922 on a farm in Kansas. I wish I could tell stories of the time when our farm was green, productive and profitable but those were just things I heard. The first big drought came in 1930, and after that the dust storms destroyed all that we had. The end finally came in April 1935, on the day they called “Black Sunday” when the dark dust from the west blocked out the sun.

Chins Up

I have notice a fall off on reviews both here and on Fictionmania.
I have asked there whether this is a reaction to these troubled times, when the very small and thoroughly pleasant transgender community has been picked out as the substitute jew to be hated by pliable majority. Are people frightened to put their names (even pennames) to a few words in praise of our evident perversion?
I just hope that is not true and that the courage to simply stay calm and carry on still exists

He was a nobody. A laboratory assistant in the testing area at the back of the Padonox complex – a rat wrangler – a tissue slicer. When he had the chance to be important, he decided to take that chance.

Perhaps because my staff were always giving me a hard time about my old-fashioned manners and conservative style of dress, I was in favor of a diversity hire. We had two races other than white covered, so when I was looking for a new secretary the office manager put forward a candidate she described as “gender non-conforming”. I thought that it would be to test me, so I had no choice but to go through with an interview.

AFAB Transfemme - Is it Trans?

I have posted a story today and I think that I would be helpful to get an opinion on it.
I believe that is clearly belongs here, but is an AFAB transfemme individual truly transgender?
I pose the same question in my closing note, adding that the opinions of some are that "all genders and sexualities should be tolerated", but what exactly is this?
I would love to receive comments on the story, or here.

Guy Tregaskis stepped onto the porch of the large suburban home and paused for a moment to feel its force. He considered that all homes with any age carry a force, made up of the people who built it and the people who occupied it, and perhaps even those who occupied the land before the house was built.

I used to say that I could fuck anybody, but it was only supposed to be girls. The fact is that I had a huge sex drive, and it seemed so powerful that it was unhealthy. It was affecting my social life, even with the guys I mixed with. We were all interested in girls, or should I say ‘pussy’ because it was the entrance that shouted at me. The guys would joke about women being meat, but for me that was real. I wanted flesh to fuck.

I am sure that you are aware that we live in a complicated world, and such a world demands specialization. People can buy their kicks anywhere they choose. There are so many outlets that might be called the erotic equivalent of McDonalds, serving the insipid fare enjoyed by ordinary folk. Go there, if you wish.

Thanks in advance...EOF".
I have noticed that comments seemed to have dried up lately. Can we put it down to the weather? I mean not just the effect on the extremities but giving rise to a hibernative torpidity?
Just asking. I am almost out of blood.

Themed cruises are the new travel sensation. It is just a question of meeting a demand. In the travel business we have discovered that there are some “kinky” cruise options which may not be able to fill a whole ship, but if we charter for a whole bunch of different sexual proclivities in a single voyage, the only common and required ingredient is tolerance.

I am looking to have Doppler Press publish yet another anthology of my short stories on Amazon / Kindle.
Firstly a word about Doppler - Profits from this enterprise are applied to keeping BCTS going, so please support this publishing house and their authors, many of whom are part of this community.
But what I am looking for is somebody to help with my next book as my latest foreword writer.

Oliver Furness came to me in 1898 – I remember that it was the year that the Spanish American War ended. He had a scholarship to the University, or thought he had. He saw that my boarding house and health clinic offered lower rates for “students with refined manners” and considered that described him well enough. He was a slightly built young man, seemingly ready to study, as I had been at the same age.

In all this transgender shit, nobody talks about people like me. Nobody talks about the little brother.

Imagine that you have an older brother that you always looked up to, a sportsman and a musician and a popular guy at school, somebody a little brother would want to be, and then he tells you he wants to be a girl. That is what Josh did. I could not believe it. None of us could. Our parents were in shock too.

It was interesting that when WebDeb advised us it was down there was a couple of comments about FM like - "nothing but soft core porn, most of the time" and "more sexually oriented material, for they who prefer more erotic fare". There was also the chilling statement - "PROJECT 2025 won't see any difference - if it's transgender, it's PORN; and a danger to the Fatherland".
Here is my comment in response:

It was the home of Jason Davis – the school bully. Jason’s mother answered the doorbell. Chrissy was still wearing the ridiculously short skirt, but had changed her top to something that better displayed her burgeoning breasts.

“Hello Mrs. Davis,” said Chrissy. “I am here to see Jason.”

“My God. It’s Christopher isn’t it?”

“Not for over a year now, but yes, it’s Chrissy now.”

“Come inside, Sweetie,” she said. “What a brave child you are. It must have been so difficult for you.”
