Fear may have been the primary feeling, but at least his malaise was gone. This revelation gave him pause. Could what was happening be a good thing? Were the gods sending me a present? Chapter Six: Out in the Open

Their next meeting wasn’t at the studio. It was a small wine bar in the West Village with candles guttering in old glass bottles and a chalkboard menu that changed with the weather. Ava arrived first and texted a photo of the corner table; Aria stared at the image, at the two empty glasses catching candlelight, and felt the quiet throb of possibility.

“Natalia… Natalia”, I barely registered the voice. “Oi, Natalia!” Calvin almost shouted, it took a moment before I realised he was talking to me, while I'd often thought of myself as Natalia, I clearly was not yet fully used to others referring to me with the name.

“You only have like 4 hours before mum and dad get home, Laura will be over later, you should probably get up.”

Chapter 7: First Sign of Trouble
I awoke on a tranquil Saturday morning, the rich aroma of freshly brewed coffee mingling with the sweet scent of warm pancakes. This delightful fragrance wafted through the air like an inviting melody, gently coaxing me from the depths of my dreams.

As I sat up, sunlight cascaded through the expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, casting a soft golden glow across the penthouse like a warm embrace. In the corner, Millie and Rory lay sprawled on the floor, tucked beneath a shared blanket that enveloped them like a cocoon of comfort.

The first time she saw him, it was the hair.

He sat alone at the edge of the open terrace, backlit by late afternoon sun and a mess of shimmering mahogany waves. It wasn’t just long, it was catching the wind like it had a personality all its own. His jaw was sharp, his frame lean but taut beneath a black linen shirt, but it was the hair that made her thighs press together under the café table.

It was about 7 PM, and Jonah had just finished painting his nails in a light purple color. This was his fourth color thus far, having followed white, red, and pink colors in the previous weeks. He and Kelly were staying true to their word, which meant that they kept doing everything that they’ve been dared to do. That night, Kelly was wearing gym shorts and a white t-shirt, whereas Jonah was wearing a set of pink pajamas.

It was a mid afternoon appointment, two-thirty for a body waxing and the addition of breasts. Mary, the stylist at Turnabout Gurl Salon had everything set up for me. All I had to do is show-up and the deed would be done.
