I think its wonderful that thousands of years ago, humans gave cute nicknames to pets, wrote each other love letters, made complaints about not being paid enough, and wrote graffiti on walls.
We really haven't changed all that much.

I remember graffiti bemoaning the poor state of young people
IE stuff about not respecting their elders, being lazy, drinking, petty crime and so on.
The graffiti was excavated in the ash buried ruins of Pompeii Italy.
IE it was from 79 AD

Nepotism, the hiring of one's relatives and similar, is from a root word meaning nephew.

Don't know if this is still true. My Mom told me (mid 1960's) that parts of Pompeii were closed to ordinary tourists for being too naughty.

Pomeiis death had witnesses, and stories survived. One was of a blind boy whose dog would steal rolls and buns for the boy. 'Casts' of the bodies of those died have been found. One was of a dog ... with seeds in their mouth.

Lastly, Shanidar 1 lived for quite some time after a severe, crippling injury. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shanidar_Cave#Shanidar_1. Clearly, his people took care of him.
"Bonus points": Many Europeans carry a small percentage of Neanderthal genes.
