I was expecting something dramatic to occur. Also wondering if Danu has any friends here since she was able to reach around the veil. Alexis might show up in book 3.

This story is basically book 3 of AD
There may be some reference to Alexis and Michelle in book 4 if that happens

This is Apocalyse dawn book 3. This is a prequel to apocalypse dawn it takes ten years earlier

It is the third book in the AD franchise

Even though it is a prequel it is still the third book in the AD franchise
Also it takes place a lot more than 10 years before the First Light

It will likely be the third completed book in the AD franchise, but it was technically the first I wrote and can be read as a prequel or standalone story. It does take place ten years before the veil fell, though, that's mentioned right at the start.

Yup, she wasn't expecting those Gifts at all, nobody was.
True, it's not the Gift, it's how you use them, and it should be interesting as she discovers how they work and what she can do with them.
