Jessie’s And Kate’s Place:
Kate looks at Tessa, David/Daisy, Nagisa, Lucas, and Jessie, as they all sat around the dining room table. Kate had asked all the band members to come by for lunch. She had the lunch catered for them, instead of cooking anything.

She noticed that David was looking more and more like Catherine Bach. She saw that David was wearing Daisy Dukes with a nice top. His face was even made up with proper makeup, as a woman would wear.

Jessie noticed her friend had started dressing more and more like Daisy Duke from the television show. She just learned last weekend that David had changed his name to Daisy. David was even wearing breast prostheses to give him the right breast size that the actress Catherine Bach had when she played Daisy Duke on The Dukes of Hazzard.

Jessie looked back towards her wife when she stood up. She knew her wife had something that she wanted to ask the band.

“Ladies and gentlemen. I have a gig for you if you want it.” Kate looks at all the band members. It was the same look she uses when she addresses her employees at work.

“What is the gig, Mrs. Silverbrook?” Tessa wanted to know.

“Yeah, sweetie? What is the job?” Jessie was curious as well. She wonders why her wife different approach to it.

“A friend of mine is getting married and the band she hired called and concealed. Would you guys be interested in performing at the reception?” Kate knew Jessie would do it.

“We have never played at a wedding reception before.” Lucas had spoken up first.

“Doesn’t mean we can’t learn.” Nagisa looked towards Lucas when he spoke.

“True.” Lucas had to admit they could learn.

“How much is your friend willing to pay us?” Tessa and Jessie normally handle the negotiation for the band.

“Three thousand dollars for a five-hour gig, plus food and drink.” Kate knew her friend was throwing a big feast, and the band would be allowed to eat and drink.

“When is the wedding?” Tessa had pulled her tablet out, which had all their gigs in it.

Kate looks towards Tessa, “In three weeks on Saturday the fifteenth.”

“Let me check our schedule.” Tessa checks the gigs they have lined up. Normally, the weekend was busy for them, but that weekend was clear.

“How should we dress for the reception?” Daisy was curious about that.

“Not like you do at the clubs. I’ll help you get the proper clothes for the gig.” Kate knew what the girls wore at the clubs wasn’t appropriate for the reception.

“We'd better let Alice and her people know. We promise to wear their clothing for any performance.” Nagisa knew her girlfriend would want to know.

“I can work with that.” Kate knew the girls were trying to help Alice and her people out.

“Guys, I need to take a few weeks off for some facial surgery I’m getting.” Daisy looks at her friends.

Everyone turns their heads to look at Daisy. “Is anything wrong?”

Daisy looks at Jessie when she responds. “I’m going to get some facial surgery and breast implants to look like Catherine Back back when she was younger and playing Daisy Duke on television.”

“I’ve been thinking about getting implants as well.” Tessa looked towards Daisy when she spoke.

“Are you ladies planning on doing it before the gig or after?” Jessie looks towards Daisy and Tessa for an answer.

“We could do it after the gig. The money will help with what I have already saved.” Daisy knew Tony was willing to help her pay for the work.

“I think that might be good. We don’t have anything scheduled for after the wedding?” Jessie looks towards Tessa when she asks.

Tessa checks her tablet to see what their schedule was after the wedding reception. She saw they had two gigs out of town, up in Washington D.C.

“We got two gigs in Washington D.C., a week after the reception.”

“Can we reschedule them?” Jessie wanted to give her friends time to heal, or at least have the stitches taken out.

“Unfortunately, we can’t. We promised and signed a contract for both gigs.” Tessa forgot about the contracts they signed.

“You girls could always use makeup to cover up your surgery.” Kate knew how long it took Jessie for her surgery.

“True.” Tessa figures they could do that. They normally wore heavy makeup on stage.

Kate had been listening to everyone when they spoke. She starts bringing out the food she ordered for everyone.

“Let me help you, sweetie.” Jessie helps bring the food into the dining room.

After all the food was brought out and set on the table. She sat down with the band members and joined them for lunch. The meal she had delivered to the house was good.

After lunch, the band members went to the warehouse where they were renting to practice. The warehouse was still being renovated. They were paying for the renovation out of their own pockets.

“Well, we'd better get to work.” Tessa walks into the makeshift changing room they built to change out of their street clothes.

All of them put on their individual coveralls. Some of them had old plaster and had paint spots on it. They grab their tool buckets and get to work. They had a lot to do to make the place better.

The band normally sets money aside from any gig to pay for the rent. Which wasn’t much because the owner of the building was a friend of the band and only charged them very little money. He was going to turn it into an apartment building.

He permitted them to make their area as they need it for me. The area where they practiced and recorded their music videos was completed. They were still adding lights and upgrading the microphones in the recording area.

They spend the rest of the afternoon there and leave later in the evening.
