Band Rehearsal:
Tessa arrives at band practice in her 2002 Black Ford Mustang. When she arrived, she saw that Lucas, Nagisa, and Jessie were already there. She parks her Mustang next to Jessie’s car and grabs her guitar from the backseat. She was feeling a little sore from Barbara/Bob using the strap-on on her before she left.
She had to admit, it did feel good when her husband went deep into her body. She was also in a good mood, she learned that her doctor could transplant her penis and testicles to Bob. It was still risky, but the doctor was positive that it would work.
When they transplanted her penis to Bob, they were going to transplant Bob’s uterus to her body so she could carry a baby. She knew they were going to need to do some rearranging of her pelvis and a few other things so she could carry a baby. The other problem is going to be the cost and the time off she’ll need to recover.
She walks into the building and spots everyone in the recording room playing around with a tune. Their new sound engineer, Katrina Knight, was in her booth listening to the band and adjusting things on her control board. Katrina was still a student, but she had an ear for music. She made a few YouTube videos analyzing other bands' music.
Tessa didn’t see the red light being on, so she entered and walked over to her spot. She puts her guitar case down and opens it. “Sorry for being late, but Bob got some news that he wanted to share with me.”
Lucas looks over towards Tessa. “Speaking of Bob, how is he doing?” Lucas had known Barbara before she knew Tessa.
“He’s doing well. We got word today that if Bob and I want to implant each other’s reproductive organs, we can. We’re compatible, and our bodies shouldn’t reject each other’s body parts.”
“Man, you’re lucky, Tessa.” Daisy looks at her friend when she says that.
“Won’t you have to take medicine, so your bodies don’t reject those organs for the rest of your life?” Jessie heard that people who had organ transplants would have to take drugs, so their bodies wouldn’t reject the foreign organ.
“Yeah, but in the long run, it's worth it. So, what songs are we going to play at the wedding?” Tessa strums her guitar and tunes it.
“I got the list from my wife after she told her friend we would perform. One of the songs is Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars, Whitney Houston's I
Wanna Dance with Somebody, Journey's Don't Stop Believin', Stevie Wonder's Signed, Sealed, Delivered (I'm Yours), Frank Sinatra's The Way You Look Tonight, and Steve Miller Band Fly Like An Eagle. There are a few others we will need to practice. So, plan on practicing for the next few days.” Jessie didn’t want to let her wife down.
Daisy taps on her drum rims and twirls her drumsticks, “lets rock this joint.” She starts belting out Stevie Wonder’s tune.
For the next twelve hours, with several breaks in between and stopping for lunch, the band practices. It was nine in the morning when they started, and by the time they stopped for the fifth time. They were so tired, and their fingers were sore. Tessa broke two nails, Daisy went through five pairs of drumsticks, Lucas was down to her last pick, Nagisa’s fingers were hurting her, and she was sitting down on a stool at her synthesizer.
Jessie’s voice was a little sore from singing so much. She had sat down on her stool and slipped her shoes off.
“I don’t think we have ever practiced as long as we did today.” Daisy was toweling off the sweat from her body. She was in her bra, because the t-shirt she had started off wearing was soaked in sweat.
“You ladies were really bringing it. I don’t think I’ve ever heard anyone sound as good as you ladies did.” Katrina’s voice comes over the hidden speaker in the recording room.
“Thanks, Katrina.” Jessie takes a sip from her water bottle and sees how everyone else is feeling.
Tessa’s fingers were hurting where her guitar strings broke her nails off. Some blood had gotten on her guitar from her fingers.
“Let’s call it a night, Jessie. We can pick it up again tomorrow around eleven o’clock.” Tessa had a doctor’s appointment tomorrow.
“Eleven sounds good to me.” Daisy yawns as she stretches her hands above her head.
“When does Alice want us to come in for a fitting?” Lucas looks towards Jessie for an answer.
“She’s already has our measurements, so they will have two options for us. I’m going to wear a suit.”
“Same here.” Lucas looks at Jessie when she answers.
“Bob wants me to wear a dress, but it might be better if I wear a suit as well.” Tessa knew Bob loved when Tessa wore dresses.
“Well, I’m wearing a dress. I can’t play the drums wearing a suit.” Daisy knew she couldn’t play that well in a suit.
“Same here. I’m going to wear a dress as well.” Nagisa knew her new girlfriend was already working on her dress.
“So, three of us are going to be in suits, and the two of you are going to be wearing dresses?” Lucas looks towards Nagisa when he says that.
“Yep, that’s about it. It makes sense, Lucas.” Jessie looks at Lucas when she answers.
“Besides, the suits are going to be custom-made to our figures. We will still look like girls.” Jessie knew what Lucas was thinking. Besides, doesn’t the woman you modeled yourself after wear suits, more than flowing gowns and such?”
Lucas had to think about it for a few seconds, but the woman he modeled himself after does wear a more versatile style of clothing. She designs all her own outfits and looked wearing a fringe romper on stage.
“Okay, you made your point. Now, can we go and get some sleep?” Lucas was tired.
“Hey, ladies, but do I need to be there?” Katrina had been listening to the conversation in the recording booth.
“Yeah, you do, Katrina. What would you prefer to wear? A suit or a dress?”” Jessie forgot that their Katrina would have to be there with them.
“A dress, I hate wearing suits.” Katrina was forced to wear one before, and she hated it.
“Okay, we’ll go and see Alice early tomorrow before practice.” Jessie figures Alice would need Katrina’s body measurements.
Everyone wipes down their instruments and puts them away. Daisy turns to look at everyone. “I’ll need to go by the music store and buy more sticks. Does anyone need anything from there?”
“I need new strings, Daisy. How about if the two of us go together?” Tessa knew her strings needed to be changed on her guitar, and she liked having backups for emergencies.
“Okay, I’ll pick you up early so we can grab some breakfast.” Daisy didn’t mind picking Tessa up since she lived near her.
“Speaking of rides, can I get a ride home from someone, please?” Katrina knew the next bus wasn’t for another hour.
“No problem, Katrina. I’ll take you home.” Jessie knew where Katrina lived, and it wasn’t too far out of her way.
“Thanks.”
It takes everyone twenty minutes or so to leave the studio. Jessie and Katrina were the last two to leave.
“Wait for her while I arm the system.” Jessie walks back inside the studio and sets the alarm.
Afterwards, she comes out and locks the door. She turns and looks at Katrina, “Ready?”
“Yes.” Katrina covers up a yawn.
She follows Jessie to her car and gets in when Jessie unlocks it. Jessie gets in and drives Katrina off first.
