Kelly is a 36 year-old copywriter working for a top London ad agency, that is until he loses his Job. His wife, Jamie is a struggling actor looking for her big break. They have been trying to get pregnant for years but now, but without the money from Kelly’s job they will have to give up trying.

Jamie, wants them to get away, play at being different people. She orders two body suits, but thanks to their gender-neutral names there’s a mix up. Then an offer comes in from Iceland.

Synopsis: Alex is a young boy who wants to be a girl, but has hidden this from everyone around him. That is, until he is saved from a bully by an older girl who makes him an offer he refuses to refuse: Work with her as a waitress at her sister’s themed café!

 

Author's note: I thought that I’d work on a more light-hearted story that actually has a confident trans character as the protagonist, one who’s actively taking control of their life instead of just being dragged along by other people.

This was originally written in 2011.

I have brown eyes, shoulder length black hair, a pert nose and a wide mouth over a rounded chin. I can't count how many times I've had people at various fairs walk up to me and talk to me like I'm a girl. It's caused a few problems now and then.
I'm part of a small group that has worked at various fairs across the US for many years. There's maybe half a dozen acts that we do, I walk the tightrope fifty feet above the ground, I've been doing it since I was six.

Unless you don't want it.. or you do want it but not now.. or-
Lets just settle for saying 'it's complicated' and leave it there for now shall we?

Still, it can't be worse then.. say.. fighting a fae Queen on her home turf or something silly like that, right?
