This is a story that is set in the Old West and in the present day. It starts out slowly, but it speaks to the fact that transgenderism is not something new but has existed for a long time.

"Please tell me this isn't what I think it is?" Mom asked as she held the bra up by the strap. I was frozen in shock, hoping beyond hope that the bra was all I'd accidentally dropped in the laundry.

Daniel Davis has no clue as to what kind of person he really is and all he knows is that he's inexplicably miserable despite having a loving wife, wonderful young daughter, and a good job. But all that begins to change when a psychologist gives him an explanation for the huge gaps in his memory.

While the genre is horror, this is not a slasher and does not contain gratuitous violence or gore. It is more psychological, mixed with mystery and suspense I hope those of you who shy away from horror will still give it a chance.

Rona is from the novella "Never", and Ruth is from the novella "How Far", both of them have been in very bad situations previous to this story, and it will really help to read both of them before reading this one. Don't worry, this story isn't as quite as dark as their origin stories.

I wake up feeling like I have the worst hangover in my lifetime. My head is swimming and my insides burn, to add to that it feels like someone is shoving two fingers down my throat.

I walked along a line of weary and wounded men. But they weren't men, at least not normal ones, their eyes were too big, the ears were pointed like an elf, they're skin was flawless except where dirt and wounds marred the almost angelic appearance. I'd have said they were the most beautiful people I'd ever seen except for their eyes, their eyes were hard, I'd seen similar eyes before, but those were pretty few and far between. Every single one of the men who were wearing what looked like fantasy armour, with real weapons that had seen hard use were staring at me as if they were thinking about the easiest and quickest way to kill me if I became a threat.
