Chapter Nine
Raine Monday

Esmerelda Devereaux walked with the ladies' of the coven down the hill, and through the housing area.

Walking was quite a different chore now, than when she'd been Lydia.

She had to take much smaller steps, and her knees ached, her hips hurt, her back felt like it was on fire, and she couldn't put her shoulders back.

"We shall give you some remedies for the elderly ailments," Agatha said as they made their way through town.

Teela and Emily return to the office and fix some tea to drink. Teela looks at her friend “So, what do you think about us joining them and doing what they do?”

“I think it’s dangerous. I’m not like you Teela, I don’t mind supporting you and being your backup.”

“I know and right now we still have the problems of the weapons that were sent to us by mistake.” Teela sips some of her tea.

"Hi, bro? Sis?" Jess's tone was light and teasing but from the slight questioning edge to her tone of voice Alex knew at least on that point she was not teasing or making light of anything.
"Bro is fine, I'm still Alex. " Alex told his sister seriously from where he was curled up on the sofa.

She, he, whoever, was looking at me, too, and looking just as confused as I felt. He spoke first, sounding like Chelsea’s manner of speaking but in my actual voice.

“Kevin, are you in my body?!”

I replied, “I must be, because I see my face over there. So I’m Chelsea now?”

Perhaps because my staff were always giving me a hard time about my old-fashioned manners and conservative style of dress, I was in favor of a diversity hire. We had two races other than white covered, so when I was looking for a new secretary the office manager put forward a candidate she described as “gender non-conforming”. I thought that it would be to test me, so I had no choice but to go through with an interview.

Richie’s House:
Sarina pulls all the money she just won towards her with her right arm. A big smile was plastered on her face.

“You would think she would be losing with her left arm in a cast.” Richie looks at Sarina as she pulls her winning towards her.

“Hey, my arm is the only thing broken, not my brain.” Sarina hurt her arm at work while pulling a front end off a Honda Accord.

A group of people wake up in a video game world and are forced to work together to survive and find out how to escape.

The group reaches the fortress and boundaries are crossed.

Sorry for the lack of posts been busy but I’m back and the full story is written! Just editing and cleaning it up now!

I’ll also be fixing some previous chapters issues and cleaning some stuff up to make it more cohesive over all.

I did know another number I could call. Another landline. I hadn’t used it in eleven years, but I’d had to memorize it before I ever had a cell phone, let alone one that supported a contacts list. Padre would not answer it, of course, and might never again. But Joaquim was almost certain still living there.
