Yep, as I don't expect to be posting midweek I've put together a bumper update today.

Never liked serials when I was little. All the continued stories on radio, yes I'm that old, and later on TV were a turn off. Growing up on a farm, there were never any given spare hours where a continued could be picked up "next week". Thus I grew up hating continued stories with more than a little emotional passion and it never left as I grew up and older. My SO had the same experience and the same disgust for serials. The only exceptions were those that tied a knot on each chapter, each TV show where if it ended there, it was complete. "NCIS" Even that story grew old after a year.

I had to laugh at the announcement on my account page. Is there a leap month or some strange time interval going on? Then marvelled at how those months have passed reading here on these blessed pages. It really does pass quicker when one is enjoying one's self. Well worth the occasional passing some change into the hat when needed.

Watching a video yesterday of one of the most amazing transformations of a woman finally achieving what had been driving her, all her life. Like many from an early age she did everything macho to deny the girl and prove she was a man's man. All well and good until the girl inside said enough is enough. Let me drive and I'll bring peace and comfort to us both.

Well, as it says in the titel, yesterday was the end of a chapter for me as the paperwork for my house was done. So goodbye house.

That doesn't change much about my current situation (still about 5 years to go with the bankruptcy proceedings as it is right now) as the sale price wasn't anything near to what I still owed the Bank. But that's a forced sale for you.

At least after this year I will be done with the taxes on it which saves a few 100 a year. So a kinda silver lining.,

I've purchased meds overseas from Mexico, Taiwan, and India. Our blessed government has managed to put the squeeze on Mexico and Taiwan so they no longer ship meds to the U.S. I've never once been snake bit up until now. This week I was scammed by someone representing a large pharmaceutical company in India. Should have been leery when his email said the company couldn't accept PayPal, Credit Cards, or International Money Orders on orders below $2000 dollars. They could only accept Western Union Money Order Telegram.

I've decided to publish, The Crush: Patty's Dilemma and I'm looking for a beta reader or two I've edited it a bit, nothing drastic. So what I'm really looking for is someone to read a little over 6000 words and make sure there are no glaring errors in continuity and all those pesky wrong word things that pop up or odd punctuation.

My best friend of 20 years works in a local casino sports bar. Usually on Saturdays I go visit and once in awhile on Thursdays because she is often solo those nights. Tonight was one of those Thursday nights. One drunk patron made it, well, something or other...

So, the time is almost here to visit the other land of my fore fathers, Sweden.

Reflecting on yesterday, I've decided I'm jealous. Twice a month my wife and I volunteer at the food bank sponsored by our church. It's a great opportunity to give back. About fifty percent of the volunteers there come from our church and it seems like I've known them forever. I know the spouses and all their kids.

I am a long time reader. I've been reading ever since I was able to hold a book on my own. My appetite for reading is voracious. At a very young age I taught myself to read and never stopped. By the time I was 9 years old I was reading at a college level of understanding.

I came on line here some time ago at the suggestion of one of the better authors. I don't say much. I can never say the right thing and I get misunderstood or embarrassed. Or, someone has already said what I was thinking. So, hitting the "KUDOS" button is often the extent of my comments. Many of the authors are extremely good and I enjoy the lighter, sweet and sentimental stories. Some of the science fiction is also very good. I also have some favorites as authors go.

Yes I know its a day early but with the whole reclamation thing going on tomorrow I thought early rather than late.

Oh for some predictable weather! One day its warm and sunny, later the same day we get biblical rainfall! I did manage to get yesterday's ride in before the rain - but only by getting up quite early to go out!

A classic drag documentary film just re-released will be of interest to many of us. Running in 'art' theaters. - “Every one of these contestants before they come out here is a winner,” which “The Queen” makes absolutely clear.
